Land Shipping from Saudi Arabia to the Gulf, Jordan and Lebanon
For most shipments heading from the Kingdom to its neighbours, the road is the practical answer. A closed truck collects from your home or warehouse in any Saudi city, crosses the right border post and unloads at the address you give us. We plan the route, clearance and packing, and help you decide between a shared truck for small loads and a dedicated truck for large or time-sensitive ones.

When is road freight the right call?
Saudi Arabia is linked to the Gulf states and Jordan by well-organised highways and border posts. Over these distances a truck beats a ship on speed and beats a plane on cost for medium and large volumes. Household furniture, appliances, shop stock and light equipment usually arrive within a few days, with no port handling and no waiting for a vessel.
There is another advantage: your goods stay inside one sealed box from loading to unloading. They are not transferred between terminals and warehouses the way sea cargo is, which cuts the risk of scuffs and lost pieces and makes the truck easy to follow at each crossing. That is why we recommend road for anyone relocating to the Gulf or Jordan, and for traders who regularly supply a branch or a buyer there.
- Road destinations: UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Lebanon in transit.
- Pickup points: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Abha, Jazan and more.
- Vehicle: closed trucks that keep the load safe from dust, sun and rain.
Border crossings and approximate transit times
The crossing depends on the destination and the pickup city. Times below are approximate, door to door from Riyadh unless stated, and can shift with border procedures.
| Destination | Crossing (Saudi → destination) | Approximate transit | On arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| UAE | Al Batha → Ghuwaifat | Abu Dhabi 2–3 days, Dubai 2–4 days, northern emirates 3–5 days | Delivery, placement and assembly |
| Qatar | Salwa → Abu Samra | 2–3 days from Riyadh, 1–2 days from Dammam and Al Ahsa | Delivery and assembly |
| Oman | Empty Quarter crossing → Ramlat Khaylah | Muscat 3–5 days; Salalah longer via Muscat or Nizwa | Delivery and assembly |
| Kuwait | Al Khafji → Al Nuwaiseeb, or Al Ruqi → Al Salmi | 2–3 days from Riyadh, 1–2 days from Dammam | Delivery and assembly |
| Bahrain | King Fahd Causeway (customs on the causeway island) | 2–3 days from Riyadh, 1–2 days from Dammam and Khobar | Delivery and assembly |
| Jordan | Al Haditha → Al Omari, or Halat Ammar → Al Mudawwara | Amman 3–5 days; Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba slightly longer | Door delivery |
| Lebanon | Transit through Jordan and Syria | 6–10 days depending on border procedures | Door delivery |
ℹ️ Transit is counted from the loading day and excludes public holidays or exceptional delays at the border.
Shared load or dedicated truck?
The choice comes down to how much you are sending and how soon it needs to arrive. Once we know the contents, we help you compare.
Shared load
Your goods take part of a truck that groups several customers heading to the same country. It suits one room, a few cartons or a handful of appliances, and costs less because you pay for the space you use.
Dedicated truck
A whole truck for you alone that departs as soon as loading is finished, with no waiting for other cargo. The natural fit for a full home, a villa or commercial stock with a fixed deadline.
The timing difference
A shared truck waits until it is full before leaving, which can add a few days. A dedicated truck removes that wait altogether.
Protection inside the box
On shared loads each consignment is strapped, partitioned and numbered separately. On a dedicated truck the whole box is stacked around the order you want things unloaded.
How we price it
You receive an itemised quote based on volume, route and services such as dismantling, packing and assembly, so the two options are easy to compare.
For traders
Regular commercial loads can run on a fixed schedule. We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin with you before loading day.
From your door to delivery: how a road shipment moves
We follow the truck at every stage and message you at loading, at the border, after crossing and when it is out for delivery.
- 1
Survey the contents
We go through your item list or inspect it, estimate the volume, pick the right truck and send an itemised quote.
- 2
Pack and number
The crew wraps items in stretch film, bubble wrap, moving blankets and double-wall cartons. Every piece is numbered and logged in the contents list.
- 3
Clear through Fasah
With your clearance authorisation, we file the export declaration on the Fasah platform run by ZATCA.
- 4
Cross the border
The truck clears the Saudi post and then the destination post, with formalities completed according to the regulations in force at the time of shipping.
- 5
Deliver to the address
The truck reaches your address, the crew unloads and checks every piece against the list, and assembles furniture in the Gulf states on request.
The northern route: direct to Jordan, transit to Lebanon
Loads for Jordan usually leave through Al Haditha and enter at Al Omari, the standard route for shipments from Riyadh, Qassim and central Saudi Arabia. When pickup is in Tabuk, Madinah or the north-west, Halat Ammar to Al Mudawwara is often shorter. Amman is reached in approximately three to five days, with Zarqa, Irbid and Aqaba needing a little extra time.
Lebanon is a longer run. The truck travels in transit through Jordan and then Syria before entering Lebanon, so allow approximately six to ten days depending on how quickly each crossing moves. If you would rather avoid the overland transit, we can ship by sea to Beirut port or by air for urgent items.
- Door delivery in Amman and other Jordanian cities, and across Lebanon.
- Before loading, we tell you which papers the consignee will need on arrival.
What to prepare before the truck arrives
Getting papers and contents ready in advance shortens loading day and avoids hold-ups at the border.
- A copy of your national ID or iqama, and your passport.
- Consignee details at the destination: name, contact number and full address.
- A clearance authorisation so we can file through Fasah.
- The contents list once items are numbered; we review it with you before sealing.
- For commercial goods: commercial registration, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
- For food products: a health certificate in addition to the commercial papers.
- Fridges and washing machines emptied and dried at least a day ahead.
- Personal items you will carry yourself kept apart from the shipment.
Items that cannot go on the truck
We do not accept flammables, gas cylinders, fuel, loose lithium batteries, weapons or ammunition, narcotics, or cash and precious metals in bulk. Plants, seeds and soil need an agricultural permit, medicines need a prescription, and perishable food is not suitable for road freight.
Know where your truck is without having to ask
The part of a road move that worries people most is the gap between loading and arrival. So we run a fixed WhatsApp routine: a message when the truck is sealed, with a photo from loading, another at the border, another once it has crossed, and a final one when it is out for delivery with an approximate arrival window.
If paperwork slows things down at a crossing, we tell you why and roughly how long it will take, so you can arrange to receive the goods without surprises. Insurance for valuable items can be added on request before loading.

Land shipping questions
How long does a truck take from Riyadh to Dubai?
Usually approximately two to four days door to door via Al Batha and Ghuwaifat. A shared load can add a few days while the truck fills.
Can I send just one room or a few cartons by road?
Yes. Shared loads are built for exactly that. You book only the space you need, and your pieces are numbered and kept separate from other consignments.
Who handles customs on the Saudi side?
We do, through Fasah, once you sign a clearance authorisation. At the destination, formalities follow the regulations in force at the time of shipping, and we explain beforehand what the consignee may be asked for.
Do you collect outside Riyadh?
We collect from every Saudi city, including Jeddah, Dammam, Khobar, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Abha, Jazan and Najran, and choose the crossing nearest to the pickup city to keep the trip short.
Is assembly included at the destination?
In the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain we deliver and assemble on request. In Jordan and Lebanon the service is door delivery.
How is the cost worked out?
We send an itemised quote once we know the volume, pickup city, destination and any extras such as dismantling, packing or a furniture hoist, so you can see what each line covers.
Ready to book space on the next truck?
Send us your pickup city, destination and a rough list of contents. We will suggest a shared or dedicated truck, the right crossing, and an itemised quote.
