Furniture Moving in Al Hawiyah, Taif | Villas, Al Hada & Al Shafa Rest Houses and Loads Secured for Mountain Roads

Furniture Moving in Al Hawiyah, Taif | Villas, Al Hada & Al Shafa Rest Houses and Loads Secured for Mountain Roads

Muasasat Al Saif moves furniture in Al Hawiyah and the outer areas of Taif: the Al Hawiyah plans in the north-east, Al Hada on the mountain to the west, Al Shafa among the farms and highlands to the south, and Al Khurma to the east for anyone moving there or back, as well as central districts like Al Qamariyah, Al Sharqiyah and Shihar. We dismantle, wrap, secure the load for climbing roads, and reassemble at the new home. A room starts from SAR 280, a two- or three-bedroom apartment from SAR 450, and a villa from SAR 900, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send both locations and photos through the quote request page.

⛰️ Taif’s outer areas from the driver’s seat

  • Al Hawiyah: north-east, near the airport and Taif University; level roads and villa plans.
  • Al Hada: west, on the mountain; climbs, bends, farms and rest houses.
  • Al Shafa: south and higher; cold, fog and winding roads.
  • Al Khurma: about 220 km east; hot and dry, nothing like Taif.
  • From: SAR 280 per room, SAR 450 per apartment, SAR 900 per villa.

Furniture moving in Al Hawiyah, Taif: a district that keeps growing

Al Hawiyah is no longer a distant suburb. Residential plans have spread across it, villas and independent floors have gone up, and it is home to staff, lecturers and students because of its closeness to Taif University and the airport. Most people moving in come from crowded central districts looking for more space, or from another city after a job transfer. So the typical Al Hawiyah job is a full villa or a large floor rather than a small flat. Roads are mostly level and plan streets are wide, so a dyna or truck reaches the door easily. The challenges are distance from the centre, new houses without finished pavements outside, and streets that have no names yet. That is why we always ask for a map pin.

Al Hawiyah and central Taif: travel times

District Typical housing Approx. loaded dyna time from Al Hawiyah
Al Qamariyah, Al Sharqiyah, Al Salamah Older walk-ups, traditional houses About 25–40 minutes
Shihar, Al Faisaliyah, Al Aziziyah Blocks and floors About 30–45 minutes
Al Wesam, Al Rumaidah, Al Naseem Villas and independent floors About 20–35 minutes
Jabrah, Ma’ashi, Nakhb Family houses and villas About 30–45 minutes
Al Hada Villas, rest houses, farms About an hour, including the climb
Al Shafa Rest houses, farms, rural homes About an hour to an hour and a quarter

Times stretch at rush hour and on summer days when visitors crowd the Al Hada and Al Shafa roads.

Al Hada: furniture among slopes and farms

Al Hada sits on the mountain west of Taif, reached by a climbing road full of bends, with orchards, rest houses and villas that some owners live in all year and others only in summer. Homes are scattered, and some lie at the end of a dirt track between farms that only a small vehicle can use. There we park the dyna on the paved road and shuttle items with a dabab or wanet. When furniture goes from Al Hada to Makkah or Jeddah, we route the loaded truck through Taif and down the Al Sail road rather than the Al Hada descent, whose tight hairpins do not suit heavy loads. It is a little longer, but far kinder to the furniture and the brakes.

Al Shafa: cold, fog and winding roads

Al Shafa lies south of Taif at a higher altitude and is noticeably colder, with fog that can blanket the road in minutes. The road winds between mountains, and some farm side roads are too narrow for two vehicles to pass. We use a mid-size dyna rather than a large truck and start early so we are not driving in late-afternoon fog. Homes here differ from the city: heaters instead of ACs in many, heavy wooden furniture, and wide outdoor seating areas. Electric and gas heaters must be emptied and disconnected before the move, and gas cylinders travel separately.

Al Khurma: a long move between two climates

Al Khurma is a governorate about 220 km east of Taif with a hot, dry, almost desert climate. Moving between the two means moving from cold and rain to heat and dust, or the other way round. We use a closed dyna or truck, wrap fully against dust, and leave in the morning so furniture arrives before the midday heat. The drive takes roughly two and a half to three hours by dyna, and the move is priced as a separate trip based on home size and distance after we see photos.

What raises the cost out here: mountain distance and time, dirt tracks that need a small shuttle vehicle, large villas and rest houses with several majlis rooms and outdoor seating, and long trips such as Al Khurma that take the vehicle and crew for a full day.

Choosing a vehicle for mountain roads

A villa in Al Hawiyah with wide streets takes a large closed truck or a dyna plus a second vehicle. A house in Al Hada on a paved road takes a closed dyna. A farm or rest house at the end of a dirt track needs the dyna on the main road and a dabab or wanet for the final stretch. A home in Al Shafa on a narrow winding road gets a mid-size dyna, never a large truck. A student near the university in Al Hawiyah needs only a dabab or wanet, and Al Khurma takes a closed dyna or truck depending on volume.

Loading and securing for slopes

On flat roads a loosely tied load may get away with it; on the Al Hada climb or the Al Shafa bends, anything unsecured moves. Heavy items go low and near the cab, gaps are filled with mattresses and blankets, the load is strapped at two levels, and mirrors and glass stand upright between two fixed pieces rather than lying under boxes. The driver climbs at a calm pace and pauses on descents if the brakes need rest. In Al Hawiyah, if the home is on an upper floor without a lift or pieces are too big for the stairs, we bring a winch from SAR 370; the wide streets outside the villas give it room.

Packing for cold, damp and fog

Fog in Al Shafa and Al Hada leaves moisture on every surface, and Taif rain arrives without warning. Wood gets a fabric blanket and a full film wrap, mattresses and sofas go into dedicated bags, and appliances are double-wrapped. In winter we warn families that furniture unloaded on a cold morning and carried into a warm house can collect condensation, so it stays wrapped until it adjusts. For Al Khurma the focus flips to dust and heat: every opening is taped, fabrics are fully covered, and nothing is left in the sun on arrival.

Dismantling and assembly in villas and rest houses

Al Hawiyah villas have large bedrooms, big wardrobes and often made-to-measure wooden kitchens. The carpenter numbers every part and rebuilds with doors and drawers adjusted. A kitchen built for a wall in Al Qamariyah may not suit a wall in Al Hawiyah without changes, so we measure first; kitchen work starts from SAR 370. Rest houses in Al Hada and Al Shafa hold floor seating, many cushions, outdoor tables, shades and sometimes barbecues, all dismantled, wrapped and loaded so cushions are not crushed. ACs, where present, are from SAR 140 per unit, heaters are disconnected and wrapped, and TVs and curtains can be mounted on request.

Worked example: Al Qamariyah to a villa in Al Hawiyah

A family in a three-bedroom, third-floor walk-up in Al Qamariyah bought a villa in an Al Hawiyah plan. They had a master bedroom with a large wardrobe, two children’s rooms, a majlis, a dining table, a wooden kitchen, three ACs, a fridge and a washer. The stair turn was too tight, so a winch brought the sofas and big wardrobe down from the balcony. Four movers, a carpenter and an AC technician worked from one closed dyna, with about forty minutes on the road on a weekday morning. In Al Hawiyah the dyna parked at the door; bedrooms went up first, then the kitchen once the wall was checked. The apartment starts from SAR 450, plus the winch from SAR 370, the kitchen from SAR 370 and each AC from SAR 140. One kitchen unit had to swap sides to clear the villa’s window, which we told the family before dismantling. The job finished before Maghrib.

What is included

Included: dismantling and reassembling bedrooms and wardrobes, blanket and film wrapping, carrying, loading and unloading, the agreed vehicle, and placing furniture in its rooms. Extra: winch, kitchen, ACs, VIP packing from SAR 140, large outdoor seating, a small shuttle vehicle for dirt tracks, storage and cleaning.

Seasons in the outer areas

In summer Al Hada and Al Shafa fill with visitors, both roads get crowded, and many rented rest houses are furnished and then emptied. Book early for a summer home and avoid weekends. In winter, early mornings in Al Shafa are bitterly cold and fog builds after Asr, so we work through the middle of the day. In Al Hawiyah the busy times are the city’s: month end, the start of the university and school year, and staff transfer periods.

Before moving to or from the outskirts

  • Send map pins for both homes, especially farms and rest houses.
  • Photograph the last stretch of road if it is a dirt track or narrow.
  • Disconnect and empty heaters and water heaters, and remove gas cylinders.
  • Turn the fridge off the day before so it can defrost and dry, and empty the washing machine.
  • Measure the new villa’s entrances and kitchen wall.
  • Check the Al Hada or Al Shafa forecast on the day.

Keep gold, cash, jewellery, documents, deeds, daily medicine and computers with you. Gas cylinders, fuel, farm pesticides and strong chemicals never travel with the furniture.

Low offers on mountain roads

A very low price to move a rest house in Al Shafa or a villa in Al Hada sometimes means an open truck that offers no fog protection, no straps to secure the load, or a crew that does not know the road, arrives late and finishes in the dark. Ask about the vehicle, the strapping, the crew size and what counts as extra, and compare line items rather than the final figure.

Storage, cleaning and mistakes to avoid

If you are building or waiting for a villa in Al Hawiyah, we store your furniture dismantled and wrapped in a dry closed warehouse until it is ready, and we can arrange optional cleaning when you leave a rest house or summer home. Common mistakes: giving only the area name with no pin, ordering a large truck for a narrow Al Shafa road, driving in afternoon fog, leaving gas cylinders attached to heaters, moving a fitted kitchen without measuring, and booking a summer weekend on the Al Hada road.

How the job runs

  1. You send both locations and photos of the home and road.
  2. We send an itemised price and pick a vehicle that suits the road.
  3. We choose a time around weather and traffic.
  4. Dismantling and wrapping.
  5. Loading and two-level strapping.
  6. A calm drive on climbs and descents.
  7. Unloading and assembly, bedrooms first.
  8. A walk-through with you before we leave.

From Al Hawiyah to other cities

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from central Taif to Al Hawiyah?

About 25 to 45 minutes in a loaded dyna depending on the district and traffic. A mid-size apartment usually takes one day in total.

Can the dyna reach farms in Al Hada?

On paved roads, yes. On narrow dirt tracks we park on the main road and shuttle items with a dabab or wanet.

Why not take the Al Hada descent to Makkah with a loaded truck?

Its tight hairpins do not suit heavy loads, so we go through Taif and down the Al Sail road, which is slightly longer but gentler.

What vehicle suits a home in Al Shafa?

A mid-size dyna rather than a large truck, since some roads are narrow and winding. We start early to avoid afternoon fog.

Do you move to Al Khurma?

Yes. It is about 220 km east of Taif, roughly two and a half to three hours by dyna, and priced as a separate trip by volume.

How do you handle heaters in Al Shafa homes?

They are disconnected, emptied and wrapped; gas cylinders are detached and travel separately from the closed furniture load.

What does a villa move to Al Hawiyah cost?

From SAR 900, rising with bedrooms, majlis rooms, kitchen, ACs and distance. The final price follows an inspection.

Can winter condensation damage furniture?

Moisture can form on furniture unloaded on a cold morning and carried into a warm house, so we leave it wrapped until it adjusts.

What suits a student near Taif University in Al Hawiyah?

A dabab from SAR 45 between districts, or a wanet from SAR 140 for a slightly larger load.

When are rest house moves in Al Hada and Al Shafa hardest?

On summer weekends when visitors crowd the roads, and in afternoon fog. Midweek and midday work better.

Can you store furniture until my Al Hawiyah villa is handed over?

Yes, dismantled and wrapped in a dry closed warehouse, priced by volume and duration.

Will my fitted kitchen suit the new villa?

We measure the new wall first and tell you if units need rearranging. Kitchen work starts from SAR 370.
