Furniture Movers in Riyadh | Dismantling, Packing & Closed Trucks for Every District

Muasasat Al Saif provides furniture movers in Riyadh who handle the whole job, not just the driving. We dismantle beds, wardrobes and kitchens, wrap every piece in bubble wrap, blankets and cardboard, carry it down by stairs, lift or winch, move it in a dyna or closed truck and put it back together in your new home. We work across the north (Al Narjis, Al Malqa, Al Yasmin), the east (Al Naseem, Al Rawdah, Al Rayyan), the west (Al Suwaidi, Dhahrat Laban) and the south (Al Shifa, Al Aziziyah, Al Dar Al Baida), as well as central districts from Al Malaz to Al Olaya. A single room starts from SAR 280, a two- or three-bedroom apartment from SAR 600 and a villa from SAR 840, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send photos or book a free survey through our quote request page.

Five questions we ask before quoting

  • Rooms: how many, and which bedrooms have large wardrobes that need dismantling.
  • Floor and lift: at both addresses, and whether the stairwell is wide or tight.
  • The two districts: a move inside Al Narjis is not the same as Tuwaiq to Al Rimal.
  • Kitchen and AC units: coming with you or staying behind?
  • Starting prices: room SAR 280, apartment SAR 600, villa SAR 840, dyna or pickup trip SAR 140.

How our furniture movers in Riyadh run a job

People rarely call us because they need a truck. They call because they want their home moved without spending the whole day supervising strangers. So every job has a clear split of roles: a supervisor who surveys, prices and attends on the day; a carpenter who takes furniture apart and rebuilds it; a packing and loading crew; and a driver who knows Riyadh’s ring roads and district entrances.

It starts with a survey or a set of photos of the living room, bedrooms, kitchen, corridors and stairs. From those we can tell how many pieces need dismantling, whether the big sofa fits through the door and whether the master wardrobe on the third floor needs a winch. You then get an itemised quote: transport, dismantling and assembly, packing, winch if needed, plus kitchen and AC work if you ask for it. A single vague number is the one that tends to grow on moving day, which is why we don’t give one.

Why two identical apartments get different quotes

Price follows the work, not the floor area. A bedroom with a bed and a small wardrobe is quicker than one with a six-door wardrobe, dressing table and bookcase. Stairs to a fourth floor double carrying time and may call for a winch. Distance matters too: Al Narjis to Al Yasmin is a short hop, while Tuwaiq in the west to Al Rimal in the east means time on the ring road at rush hour. Kitchens and split units each need a technician, delicate items may need extra packing, the last week of the month is busy, and a narrow street where the dyna can’t stop means longer carries.

Dismantling and assembly

A wardrobe taken apart in a hurry comes back with drooping doors. Ours are taken apart in order: doors and hinges first, then drawers, shelves and the carcass. Each bag of screws is tied to its piece and labelled with the room. Sliding-door tracks are protected because they bend if carried assembled, mirrors are wrapped on their own, and long panels travel on their edge.

At the new address beds go up before the majlis, because a family needs somewhere to sleep that night. Kitchen dismantling and installation starts from SAR 370; cutting a new worktop or resizing units for a different space is carpentry and is agreed separately. Some imported bedroom sets use special metal locks or won’t survive repeated dismantling; we’ll tell you at the survey and may suggest moving them whole if the doorways allow.

Packing for Riyadh’s dust

Packing here protects against dust as much as breakage. Half an hour on the pavement on a dusty afternoon is enough to fill fabric and wood with grit, so sofas are wrapped before they leave the door, mattresses go into sealed bags and boxes are taped on both sides.

We use bubble wrap on wood and glass, blankets between pieces in the truck, strong cartons with dividers for glasses, corner guards for TVs and mirrors, and mattress covers. Every box is labelled with its room so the crew knows where it goes without asking you each time. Glassware is wrapped one item at a time and stood upright, since pressure from above is what usually breaks it.

Winch lifting and walk-up buildings

Many older blocks in Al Malaz, Al Aziziyah and Al Suwaidi have no lift, or one too small for a sofa. Medium pieces can go down the stairs up to the second floor; a big wardrobe, a large fridge or a long sofa above that is safer on a winch, for the item and for the walls.

The winch starts from SAR 185 and needs space in front of the building plus a window or balcony wide enough for the piece. Items are strapped and wrapped before lifting, and in strong wind or heavy dust we would rather wait an hour than risk a load in mid-air. In towers we book the service lift with management and line its floor and walls with cardboard.

Dabab, pickup, dyna or closed truck?

A dabab suits one bedroom in a tight street. A pickup suits one or two items such as a fridge, washing machine or a student’s belongings. A dyna covers most two- and three-bedroom moves in Riyadh. A closed truck is the right call for villas, high-end furniture and moves to other cities. Villas often get a dyna and a truck together, or two dyna runs, depending on the street.

What’s included and what’s extra

Normally included: dismantling and assembling standard beds and wardrobes, basic packing, carrying by stairs or lift, the vehicle and driver within Riyadh, and removal of packing waste. Extra on request: winch, kitchen, AC units, extra packing for antiques and glass, storage, cleaning, and hanging curtains, TVs and frames.

A worked example: Al Naseem to Al Narjis

Abu Faisal lived in a second-floor walk-up, three-bedroom flat in Al Naseem and took a floor of a villa in Al Narjis after his job moved north. He had a master bedroom with a six-door wardrobe, two children’s rooms, a majlis, a living room, an aluminium kitchen he wanted to keep and two split units. Photos showed the wardrobe would go down the stairs once dismantled, so no winch. One closed dyna plus a short pickup run for the last items did it, with a supervisor, a carpenter, four movers and an AC technician. The crew started shortly after dawn to beat the heat, finished loading before noon and had everything assembled before sunset. The apartment starts from SAR 600, the kitchen from SAR 370 and each AC unit from SAR 115, all itemised the day before. The family had boxed their clothes two days earlier and emptied the fridge the night before, which is why the day was calm.

Before moving day

  • Ask the landlord or building guard for a spot for the vehicle.
  • Box clothes, books and personal items two days ahead.
  • Switch off, clean and dry the fridge the night before.
  • Photograph TV and router cabling before unplugging.
  • Measure doors at the new place if you own a large sofa.
  • Pack a first-night bag with medicines, chargers and children’s things.

Keep these with you, not in the truck: gold, jewellery and cash; IDs, passports, leases and certificates; medicines; gas cylinders, fuel and pesticides; laptops and work drives.

Timing, seasons and the low-quote trap

The last week of the month is when most leases end, so mid-month dates are easier to get. Long school holidays are peak season for families. In summer we start at dawn to avoid the midday heat, during Ramadan we can work after Asr or after Taraweeh, and on dusty days we hold off on winching.

An advert promising a whole house for very little usually means a truck with no crew, a crew with no carpenter, or a figure that doubles when “an extra wardrobe” turns up. Ask whether dismantling and assembly are included, whether pieces will be wrapped, whether the truck is closed, what counts as extra and what happens if something is damaged.

Storage, cleaning, AC and compounds

If your lease ends before the new home is ready, we wrap everything fully, keep it in a covered warehouse with an inventory and deliver it when you’re ready, priced by volume and time. Cleaning the old or new home is optional and quoted separately. Split AC units need a technician to pump the gas down before the pipes are cut, otherwise you’ll pay for a refill. Gated compounds and towers often need a permit, crew names and plate numbers in advance, so send us the requirements early.

Common mistakes

  • Agreeing a price over the phone without photos or a survey.
  • Leaving personal packing for the morning of the move.
  • Not mentioning that the building has no lift.
  • Unplugging the fridge that morning so it drips all the way.
  • Booking the last day of the month with no confirmed slot.

Moving from Riyadh to other cities

We also run closed trucks from Riyadh to other cities, dismantling here and assembling on arrival. Starting prices for a room or small load: Al Kharj (about 80 km) SAR 280, Dammam and Khobar (about 400–420 km) SAR 470, Buraidah (about 350 km) SAR 750 and Jeddah (about 950 km) SAR 560. For a two- or three-bedroom flat: Al Kharj SAR 600, Dammam SAR 840, and Buraidah or Jeddah SAR 1,120.
