Used Furniture Buyers in Riyadh | Majlis, AC Units & Kitchens, Cleared From Your Home
Muasasat Al Saif buys used furniture from villas, apartments and offices across the capital. As used furniture buyers in Riyadh, we work in a simple order: you send photos, we give you an initial valuation, our valuer visits to confirm it, and once you agree we pay you before a single piece moves. Then our crew handles the dismantling, carrying and loading. We buy bedrooms, majlis seating and sofas, dining sets, children’s rooms, wooden and aluminium kitchens, fridges, washers and TVs, window and split AC units, and office and serviced-apartment furniture, from Al Narjis, Al Yasmin and Al Malqa in the north to the east, west and south of the city. We don’t quote a figure before seeing your furniture, because value follows brand, condition, age, completeness and how easy it is to get out. Send your photos through our request-a-quote page for a free initial valuation.
Your sale in Riyadh, in four stages
- Photos: each piece separately, plus district, floor and lift.
- Visit: free of charge; the valuer checks wood and fabric and runs appliances.
- Payment: cash or transfer on the spot, before dismantling, with nothing paid upfront by you.
- Clearance: carpenter, AC technician, crew and a vehicle sized to the job; rooms left empty.
Why people in Riyadh sell their furniture
Housing in Riyadh moves constantly. Leases end, new districts in the north and east pull families in, expats arrive and leave with their contracts, and companies shift offices from one building to another. Each move leaves the same question about the furniture. These are the situations we see most often:
- Moving to a new villa or duplex: a family in a flat in Al Malaz or Al Sulaimaniyah moves to Al Qairawan or Al Arid and furnishes to the new layout.
- Final exit: an expat family sells everything and needs the flat or compound villa empty by a fixed date.
- Renovation: a new men’s majlis, a new kitchen, or rooms for children who have outgrown theirs.
- Relocating to another city: a job in Dammam or Jeddah makes moving every heavy piece poor value.
- Closing an office: desks, chairs, meeting tables and cabinets on King Fahd Road, in Al Olaya or Al Malqa.
- Refreshing serviced apartments: matching units replaced in one go.
What used furniture buyers in Riyadh will take

We buy what can be used again after being taken apart and reassembled, which covers most of a typical Riyadh home.
Men’s and women’s majlis
The majlis is central to Riyadh homes, and much of it is large: sofas running along three walls or floor seating with cushions and backrests, plus coffee and corner tables. We value it on fabric, foam and frame. Foam that has sagged and fabric faded by the sun through a west-facing window lower the value. A majlis kept covered in a guest room can stay in good shape for years.
Bedrooms and kids’ rooms
Heavy classic wooden sets, modern bedrooms and showroom flat-pack. Kids’ rooms with bunk beds or twin beds and a desk are always wanted, as are sliding-door wardrobes with sound runners.
Dining and living
Dining tables for eight or ten are common in Riyadh villas, often with a sideboard and display cabinet. A full set values better than scattered pieces.
Office furniture
Executive and staff desks, chairs, meeting tables, cabinets and reception units. We price offices by quantity and agree the clearing time with you; it can be arranged after hours when needed so work isn’t interrupted.
Serviced apartments and compounds
When serviced flats in Al Olaya, Al Malaz or around King Abdullah Road are refurbished, or compound villas are cleared, we buy matching rooms in bulk with their TVs, fridges and AC units. Compounds usually have gate procedures for vehicles and crews, so we arrange timing with management through you.
Mattresses
We generally don’t buy used mattresses, because hygiene can’t be judged by eye and few buyers accept them. A nearly new mattress in its cover with a receipt is the exception. Old ones can leave with the furniture by arrangement if you want the house fully cleared.
Appliances, kitchens and air conditioners

Window and split units
Window units are still common in Riyadh, especially in older villas and buildings in Al Malaz, Al Aziziyah, Al Suwaidi and Al Naseem. We value them on BTU rating, cooling and compressor condition. Split units need a technician to pump the refrigerant into the outdoor unit before the pipes come off, so please don’t remove them before the visit. Riyadh dust builds up on condensers and filters; that matters little if the unit cools well once cleaned, but a unit that ran for years on a roof without servicing gets a close look at its compressor.
Fridges, washers and more
Fridges of every size, the chest freezers that large families keep, standard and automatic washers, dryers, cookers and ovens, dishwashers, TVs and water dispensers. The model label on the back or inside the door shows brand and capacity, so photograph it.
Wooden and aluminium kitchens
We buy a kitchen that can be dismantled without damage. Aluminium handles this better; wood is judged on the lower cabinets, especially around the sink. Marble and granite count if the pieces are large and intact, and built-in ovens and hoods are valued with the kitchen.
Faulty appliances
A non-working appliance is bought for its parts, and that value depends on the fault. We tell you what we found and you decide.
What we don’t buy, or only rarely
- Furniture with woodworm or insects, however good it looks.
- Board that crumbles around screws and won’t survive reassembly.
- Wall wardrobes made to measure for one room.
- Bedding, pillows, stained rugs and worn curtains.
- Pieces with a broken frame, unless a small part of a large lot.
- Very old appliances, occasionally and only for parts.
How the offer is built
A photo valuation gives you an idea before you book anything, but it stays provisional. A photo can’t tell us whether foam has sagged, a fridge cools, or a drawer runs smoothly. Good photos help: each piece in daylight, close-ups of corners and fabric, wardrobes open, model labels on appliances, any defect you know of, and your district, floor, lift size and whether you live in a compound. The visit that follows is free and commits you to nothing.
| Factor | How we read it | Riyadh example |
|---|---|---|
| Brand and material | Solid wood and sturdy build hold value | Classic beech bedroom vs. thin board |
| Condition | Fabric, foam, runners, surfaces | Majlis faded by a west window |
| Age and style | Recent, with receipt, builds confidence | Modern sofa set with a showroom invoice |
| Completeness | Full sets resell more easily | Ten-seat dining table with every chair |
| Demand | Some items sell every season | AC units and fridges before summer, kids’ rooms before school |
| Ease of removal | Floor, lift and parking | Villa with a narrow internal stair, or a fourth-floor walk-up |
| Quantity | Whole homes are valued as one lot | Full villa in Al Yasmin vs. one chair in Al Hair |
Some sites publish rough tables of buying prices, and the spread between the low and high end is huge. That alone shows a price can’t be known before seeing the item. So we don’t promise a number before the visit, only a fair price after valuation, with the reasoning if you want it.
From request to payment and clearance
- Send photos, an item list and your district through the quote page.
- We reply with an initial valuation and note what we need to see.
- We book the visit, sometimes on collection day for small lots.
- The valuer gives the final figure and the list of included items.
- Once you agree, you are paid in cash or by transfer.
- The crew dismantles, carries down and loads.
- Rooms are left clear, and you check with us what remains.
Dismantling and removal from villas, buildings and towers

After payment, the crew takes over: a carpenter for wardrobes, beds and kitchens, an AC technician, labourers and a vehicle sized to the lot, from a pickup to a dyna or more for a full villa. All of it is part of the deal and nothing is deducted from the agreed amount. Riyadh villas have their own quirks: twisting internal stairs, roof annexes full of furniture, wide majlis doors on the ground floor. We protect banisters and marble floors with cardboard where needed. In older walk-ups we use a winch for pieces that won’t fit the stairs, and towers and compounds usually need a lift or gate booking from management in advance.
In summer we start as early in the morning as we can, since midday work is hard on the crew and on sensitive items like TVs. On dusty days we cover loads well, and we would rather wait a few hours than load fabric sofas into a sandstorm.
Whole house or single pieces?
Selling the whole house gets you one figure and a one-day clearance, which suits a handover deadline. Selling pieces one by one may earn a little more for a rare item but takes weeks. Many Riyadh sellers keep what they will move, sell one or two standout pieces themselves, and sell us the rest. We buy single items too when they are in good condition.
Selling before an intercity move
Moving a heavy old majlis from Riyadh to Dammam or Jeddah can cost close to what it is worth. Sell us what you don’t need and we move the rest in one trip. A room or small load from Riyadh to Dammam starts from SAR 470 and to Jeddah from SAR 560; within Riyadh a room starts from SAR 280 and an apartment from SAR 600, rising with size, floor and distance.
Tips for a fair offer
- Dust everything before photos; Riyadh dust makes good furniture look tired.
- Steam-clean the majlis a few days before the visit.
- Find showroom invoices and warranty cards.
- Keep screws, keys, shelves, sofa legs and AC remotes together.
- Don’t dismantle before the visit, and keep sets together.
- Be upfront about defects and compare final offers, not adverts.
Payment and safety
Keep the order fixed: visit, price, payment, dismantling. We pay on the spot in cash or by transfer before anything leaves, and we never ask you for money in advance, whether an inspection fee, a deposit or a vehicle charge. Anyone asking for a transfer before seeing your furniture is reason enough to say no. Ask for the agreed item list by message the day before, empty drawers yourself, and check under beds; small gold items and papers are often forgotten there.

| Price | Can be higher for a rare piece, or drop at the end of the day | A fair price after valuation for the whole lot |

| Dismantling | Usually the buyer’s job, without a carpenter | Carpenter and AC technician included |
| Weak items | Stay with you | Included in the lot, or directed to donation |
Donating or recycling
Usable items with low resale value can go to Riyadh charities, some of which collect from homes. Damaged wood, metal and appliances can be recycled, and we can remove them with the rest by arrangement, priced separately from the purchase.
Mistakes we see
- Leaving the sale to the final week before villa handover.
- Storing sofas for months in a hot, dusty roof annex.
- Removing a split unit without a technician.
- Forgetting the compound permit or lift booking.
- Paying a deposit to someone who hasn’t seen the furniture.
A Riyadh example
A family in a two-storey villa in Al Yasmin was moving to Dammam for work and wanted to keep only the master bedroom and a few appliances. They sent photos of a large men’s majlis, a women’s majlis, a ten-seat dining set with sideboard, two kids’ rooms, a guest room, a chest freezer, two washers, four window units in the annex, two split units and a full wooden kitchen. On the visit, only two of the annex units worked and the sink cabinet had swollen, so those lines were adjusted, while the men’s majlis valued higher because it had been kept covered and clean. The family was paid at the villa, the sold items were cleared in a day, and the following week we moved the bedroom and kept appliances to Dammam.

Frequently asked questions
How can I find out what my furniture is worth before a visit?
Send photos of each piece with your district and floor through the quote page for a free initial valuation, confirmed on the visit.
Do you buy old window AC units?
Yes, if they cool well; value depends on BTU rating and compressor condition. Faulty ones are bought for parts only.
Do you ask for a deposit or inspection fee?
No. The visit is free, dismantling and removal are included, and we pay you before anything leaves.
I live in a compound. How does clearance work?
Request vehicle and crew access from management, and we schedule around the permit.
My majlis is very large. Will you buy it?
Yes. We value it on fabric, foam and frame; a clean majlis kept covered holds good value.
Do you buy wooden kitchens with marble tops?
Yes, if the kitchen comes apart without damage; marble counts when the pieces are large and intact.
Can you clear an office outside working hours?
We agree the timing with you, and it can be arranged after hours when needed so work isn't disrupted.
Why did the figure change slightly after the visit?
Photos can't show sagging foam, fridge cooling or drawer runners, so the figure adjusts up or down based on the inspection.
Do you buy mattresses?
Generally not, except nearly new ones with cover and receipt; old ones can be removed by arrangement.
I'm moving to Dammam. Can you move what I keep?
Yes. A room or small load from Riyadh to Dammam starts from SAR 470.
Do you cover south and west Riyadh?
Yes, from Al Aziziyah, Al Shifa and Al Dar Al Baida to Al Suwaidi, Dhahrat Laban, Namar and Irqah.
