Used Furniture Buyers in Jeddah | Photo Valuation, Payment Before Removal
Moving out, leaving Jeddah or simply replacing old furniture? Muasasat Al Saif works as one of the used furniture buyers in Jeddah who come to you: we value your furniture from photos, confirm the figure on a home visit, pay you the agreed amount, and then our crew dismantles, carries down and removes everything. We buy bedrooms, majlis seating and sofas, dining sets, children’s rooms, wooden and aluminium kitchens, fridges, washing machines and TVs, split and window AC units, and office furniture, from Obhur in the north to Al Sanabel and Al Khumrah in the south. We never name a price before seeing the items, because the offer depends on brand, condition, age and whether a set is complete. Start by sending photos through our request-a-quote page for a free initial valuation.
Before you sell: five things worth knowing
- What we buy: bedrooms, majlis and sofas, dining, kids’ rooms, kitchens, appliances, AC units, office and serviced-apartment furniture.
- Valuation: photos first, then a short home visit to confirm.
- Payment: cash or bank transfer at your home before anything leaves. We never ask you to pay anything upfront.
- Dismantling and removal: handled by us, with a carpenter, crew and the right vehicle.
- Items we can’t buy: we point you to donation or recycling instead of leaving them with you.
How selling to used furniture buyers in Jeddah works
Most people who contact us are in one of two situations. Either the handover date on their flat is close and there is no time to list every piece online, or they have bought new furniture and the old set is still in decent shape. Neither needs long haggling. What helps is an honest valuation and a fixed date.
It starts with photos. You send pictures of each piece through the quote page, along with your district, floor and whether there is a lift. We reply with an initial figure for the lot and tell you which items look good and which we need to see in person. If the range works for you, we book a visit. For a few pieces this is often the same day as collection; for a whole home it is usually a day or two before.
During the visit the valuer opens drawers, slides doors, checks the back panels and switches appliances on. You then get the final figure. It may match the initial one, or shift a little if a defect shows up that the photo hid, or if a piece turns out to be a known brand you hadn’t mentioned. Once you agree, you are paid and the crew starts.
What we buy

Our rule is simple: if a piece can live in another home after being taken apart and put back together, we are interested. That covers most of a typical Jeddah household.
Bedrooms and children’s rooms
Beds, wardrobes, dressers and bedside tables, in solid wood or the flat-pack board sold by large furniture stores such as IKEA and Home Centre. Children’s rooms sell well in Jeddah because young families furnish in stages, so bunk beds, small desks and colourful wardrobes in good order move quickly.
Majlis, sofas and living rooms
Floor majlis seating with cushions and backrests, L-shaped sofas, three- and two-seater sets, coffee and side tables. Fabric matters a lot here. Stains, smells or torn upholstery cut the value more than a scratch on wood, because re-upholstering is expensive.
Dining, shelving and storage
Dining tables with their chairs, sideboards, bookcases, shoe cabinets and storage units. A complete set always sells more easily than a table with no chairs.
Office furniture
Desks, swivel chairs, meeting tables, filing cabinets and partitions, from small offices along King Road and Tahlia Street to companies closing a branch.
Serviced apartments and small hotels
When serviced flats are refurbished or hotel units close, we buy matching rooms in bulk: beds, wardrobes, TVs, mini fridges, AC units and tables. Matching quantities are priced as one lot, so the owner can clear a building in a day or two.
Our policy on mattresses
We don’t normally buy used mattresses. Their hygiene can’t be judged by eye, and few buyers will take one second-hand. The exception is a nearly new mattress still in its cover or used for a few weeks, with the receipt. Old mattresses can still go out with the rest of the furniture if you ask, so they reach proper disposal instead of sitting by the building door.
Appliances, kitchens and AC units

Appliances are often what lifts the value of a whole-home deal. We buy fridges and freezers, standard and automatic washers, dryers, cookers and ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, TVs and water dispensers.
Wooden and aluminium kitchens
We buy a used kitchen if it can come apart without damage. Aluminium kitchens handle this well and stay in demand because humidity doesn’t affect them the way it affects wood. With wooden kitchens we look first at the cabinets under the sink, since that is where board swells in Jeddah after a leak. Marble or granite tops are valued separately and only count if the pieces are large and intact.
Split and window units
A split unit needs a technician to pump the refrigerant back into the outdoor unit before the pipes are disconnected, so our crew brings one. Please don’t remove it yourself before the visit. In Jeddah we pay close attention to the outdoor unit: sea air and humidity eat into the condenser fins and casing, especially near the Corniche in Al Shati, Al Hamra and Obhur. A rust-free outdoor unit makes a clear difference. Window units are valued on their BTU rating and how well they cool.
Appliances that don’t work
A broken appliance is valued for its parts. A minor fault such as a fan or sensor leaves reasonable value; a dead compressor leaves much less. We tell you plainly after testing.
What we don’t buy, or rarely buy
- Board swollen by humidity: if edges have puffed up or crumble around screws, it won’t survive another assembly.
- Furniture with woodworm or insects: we won’t risk it spreading to other stock.
- Built-in wardrobes made to fit one wall: rarely suit another home, unless they are standard modules.
- Pillows, bedding, curtains and stained rugs: for hygiene reasons.
- Pieces with a broken frame: unless they are a small part of a large lot.
- Very old, power-hungry appliances: occasionally, and only for parts.
What raises or lowers the offer
| Factor | Raises the offer | Lowers the offer |
|---|---|---|
| Brand and material | Solid wood, a known brand, sturdy build | Thin board, unknown make |
| Condition | Clean surfaces, smooth doors and runners, unstained fabric | Deep scratches, swelling, smells, tears |
| Age | A few years old, with receipt | A style no longer in demand |
| Completeness | Full bedroom, table with every chair | Missing or split pieces |
| Demand | Kids’ rooms, AC units, fridges, modern sofas | Oversized pieces that don’t fit modern flats |
| Ease of removal | Wide lift, ground floor, close parking | High floor with no lift, narrow lanes, winch needed |
| Quantity | A whole home or matching units | One small item at the edge of the city |
Some other buyers publish rough price ranges for bedrooms, sofas and AC units. Those ranges are very wide, because the gap between one bedroom and another really is that big. So we don’t promise a number before seeing your furniture. What we do promise is a fair price after valuation, and an explanation of how we reached it if you ask.
Dismantling and removal are part of the deal

You don’t need to find labourers or a truck. The crew arrives with a carpenter, an AC technician if units are included, and a vehicle sized to the job: a pickup for a few pieces, a dyna for a flat, more than one vehicle for a villa. None of this is deducted from the agreed amount.
We take wardrobes and beds apart carefully, both to keep their value and to keep your walls as they were. Doors and stairwells get cardboard protection where needed, screws go into bags, and rooms are left clear of packing waste. In Corniche towers, management usually asks for a service-lift booking or an exit permit for furniture, so check with them first and we will arrive on time. In older four-storey buildings in Al Sharafiyah, Al Aziziyah and nearby, we use a winch for long sofas and wardrobes when needed, at no cost to you within a purchase.
Whole home or piece by piece?
Selling single items online can earn a little more for a standout piece, but it means weeks of messages and no-shows. Selling the whole home gives you one figure, one date, and an empty flat. Many people take a middle path: keep what they want for the new home, sell one valuable item themselves, and sell us the rest in one go. We also buy single items such as a fridge or a kids’ room if the condition is good.
When people sell in Jeddah
- Leaving the Kingdom: we can leave the bed and fridge until the last night and collect them on the final morning.
- Moving to a bigger or smaller home: from a flat in Al Safa to a villa in Obhur, for example.
- Renovation: a new majlis, kitchen, or rooms for children who have grown.
- Clearing an inherited or empty house: handled calmly, with items sorted for sale or donation.
- Closing an office or refreshing serviced flats.
Selling before a move to another city
Hauling every piece roughly a thousand kilometres from Jeddah to Riyadh rarely makes sense for large, older furniture. Sell us what you don’t want to carry, and we move what you keep in one trip. A room or small load from Jeddah to Riyadh starts from SAR 560; within Jeddah a room starts from SAR 185 and a two-to-three-bedroom flat from SAR 465, rising with size, floor and distance.
Tips for a fair offer
- Dust and vacuum before taking photos.
- Find receipts and warranty cards; they prove brand and age.
- Keep screws, keys, shelves, handles and AC remotes together.
- Don’t dismantle anything before the visit.
- Show sets complete, and mention defects up front.
- Skip quick cosmetic fixes; filler and rushed paint look worse on inspection.
Payment and safety
The order should always be: inspection, price, payment, dismantling. We pay in cash or by transfer at your home before anything leaves, and we never ask you for money in advance, whether as an inspection fee, transport fee or deposit. Anyone asking for a transfer before seeing your furniture is a reason to stop. Ask for the agreed item list by message before the day, and empty drawers yourself; we often find papers or jewellery left behind and return them.
Districts we cover in Jeddah
| Area | Districts | Typical requests |
|---|---|---|
| North | Obhur North, Obhur South, Al Shati, Al Muhammadiyah, Al Naeem, Al Basatin, Al Zumorrud, Al Sawari | Large villas, formal majlis, towers with booked service lifts |
| Central | Al Rawdah, Al Khalidiyah, Al Zahra, Al Nahdah, Al Salamah, Al Andalus, Al Hamra, Al Rehab | Family flats and offices, small lifts |
| East | Al Samer, Al Hamdaniyah, Al Fayha, Al Safa, Al Marwah, Al Naseem, Al Manar, Al Ajwad, Al Harazat | Young families, kids’ rooms, aluminium kitchens |
| South | Al Jamiah, Al Thaghr, Al Sabil, Quwaizah, Al Amir Fawaz, Al Wahah, Al Sanabel, Al Khumrah | Housing schemes, appliances and AC units in quantity |

Donating or recycling what can’t be sold
Usable items with little resale value can go to Jeddah charities, some of which collect. Truly damaged wood, metal and appliances can be recycled, and we can remove them along with the rest if you want the home handed over empty, priced separately from the purchase.
Selling it yourself vs. selling to a buyer
| Selling yourself online or at the Al Sawarikh market | Selling to Muasasat Al Saif | |
|---|---|---|
| Time | Days or weeks | Photos, visit, cleared in a day |
| Price | Possibly more for a rare piece, after long haggling | A fair price after valuation for the whole lot |
| Dismantling and transport | On you or the buyer | Included |
| Visitors | Strangers coming several times | One crew at one set time |
Common mistakes
- Waiting until two days before handover.
- Sending dark night-time photos or one wide shot of a whole room.
- Splitting a set between buyers.
- Letting an untrained person remove a split unit and lose the refrigerant.
- Leaving wrapped sofas on a humid balcony for days.
- Paying a deposit to someone who hasn’t seen the furniture.
A Jeddah example
An expat family in a three-bedroom tower flat in Al Shati was leaving for good. They sent photos of a wooden master bedroom, two kids’ rooms, a majlis, an L-shaped sofa, a six-seat dining set, fridge, washer, oven, three split units and two TVs. On the visit, one outdoor AC unit showed sea-air corrosion, while the kids’ rooms were in excellent shape with receipts, so one line went down and another went up. We cleared most of the flat on day one after booking the service lift, left the bed and fridge for the last night, and on departure morning the family received the balance and the flat was empty before noon.

Frequently asked questions
Do I pay anything for the visit or removal?
No. The visit is free, dismantling and removal are part of the purchase, and we never ask for money upfront.
Is the photo valuation final?
It is provisional. We confirm it on the visit after checking wood, fabric and appliances, and it may shift slightly if something new shows up.
When am I paid?
At your home once we agree the final figure, in cash or by bank transfer, before anything leaves.
Do you buy AC units affected by Jeddah's humidity?
Yes, though a rusted outdoor unit lowers the value. A unit with a clean, rust-free condenser holds its value well.
Do you buy used mattresses?
Usually not, for hygiene reasons, except nearly new ones with cover and receipt. We can remove old ones with the furniture if you ask.
My wooden kitchen has a swollen sink cabinet. Will you buy it?
We value the other units; the kitchen may still be bought at a lower figure without the damaged section.
I live in a Corniche tower. What should I arrange?
Book the service lift and any furniture exit permit with management; we time our arrival to your booking.
I'm leaving Jeddah. Can you leave my bed and fridge until the last day?
Yes. We clear most of the home first and collect the rest on departure morning, when you receive the balance.
Do you buy a single item?
Yes, if it is in good condition, such as a fridge or a kids' room.
What happens to items you don't buy?
Usable ones can go to Jeddah charities, damaged ones to recycling, and we can remove them by arrangement as a separate service.
I'm moving to Riyadh. Can you move what I keep?
Yes. A room or small load from Jeddah to Riyadh starts from SAR 560.
