Furniture Moving in Baish | Sand-Proof Packing, Assembly & Relocation Along the Coastal Highway

Furniture Moving in Baish | Sand-Proof Packing, Assembly & Relocation Along the Coastal Highway

Baish sits on the coastal highway about 68 km north of Jazan, and Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries lies roughly 26 km to its west. That is why so many of our moves here involve employees relocating for work nearby, or families heading out to Jazan and Sabya. Our furniture moving in Baish service covers both. Al Saif dismantles, packs and loads your furniture into a closed truck and reassembles it in your new home, within Baish or between Baish and the rest of the region. A single room starts from SAR 230, a two-to-three-room apartment from SAR 420 and a villa from SAR 840, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send photos through the quote request page to get started.

🚚 Moving notes for Baish

  • Road: the coastal highway links Baish with Jazan to the south and Ad Darb to the north; Sabya is about 30 km away.
  • Saturday: market day in Baish, so we keep away from the souq area in the morning.
  • Wind: late summer brings north-westerly winds carrying sand off the coast, so every carton is sealed.
  • From: 230 per room, 420 per apartment, 840 per villa, 140 by wanet, 45 by dabab, 185 winch.

Moving employees, families and single workers

An employee relocating to Baish for work at the nearby industrial city needs two things: furniture that arrives in time for the first day at work, and assembly done without having to take leave. We ask for photos early, fix the date and send a full crew with a carpenter, labourers and an AC technician where needed. If the new housing belongs to an employer and has a gate, we prepare the crew’s names and the truck number in advance when the employer asks for them, so nobody waits at the entrance.

Families living in Baish mostly move from an older house to a new villa in one of the newer plans, or out to Jazan or Sabya. That means bigger furniture, more kitchens and ACs, and a well-organised day starting at dawn. Then there are single employees in small flats or partly furnished rooms who move between Baish and Jazan as their project sites change. A bed, a desk, a small fridge, a washer and a few boxes need a wanet and one helper, from SAR 140, not a full truck and crew.

Districts, towns and centres

Area Examples Note
Baish town Al Nahdah, Al Safa, Al Khadra Villas, family houses and newer blocks
Nearby towns Abu Al Sadad, Al Naqqash, Qarar, Al Fawarisah Single-storey homes with courtyards, easy parking
Centres Al Haqu, Maslia and the Al Manar plan, Al Futaiha, Al Khalawiyah and Al Nujua Longer distances; we check roads after rain
Near the industrial city Housing close to Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries Gate access arranged in advance if required

In the rains we watch Wadi Baish and the smaller valleys on the roads to the eastern centres such as Al Futaiha, and a loaded truck does not set out if a flood has cut the road.

Moving between Baish’s towns and centres

Baish governorate is a group of towns spread out from each other. Abu Al Sadad, Al Naqqash, Qarar and Al Fawarisah are close to town, Al Haqu and Maslia further out, and Al Futaiha lies about forty kilometres east near the mountains, with its park and a valley that runs most of the year. A move from one town to another within the governorate usually takes half a day to a day and is priced on regional rates plus distance. Homes here tend to be single-storey with wide yards, outdoor majlis areas, store rooms and shades, so we ask you to decide what comes from the outdoor majlis, because outdoor sofas and floor seating take a lot of truck space. Where the last stretch to the house is unpaved, we spot it in the photos and bring a helper wanet to shuttle items to the dyna parked on the tarmac.

Packing against sand and humidity

Baish is coastal, so humidity is always there, and late-summer winds lift sand from the dunes by the beach. A carton left open in the yard fills with sand in minutes. Every carton is taped on both ends and marked with its room and number. Mattresses go into fully sealed bags, sofas get a moving blanket and a cover, wood gets paper or cloth before bubble wrap so moisture is not trapped on its surface, appliances go into double-walled cartons and screens between rigid boards. Wrapped pieces never sit in the yard; they go straight into the truck and the box is closed.

Dismantling and reassembly

Wardrobes come apart from the upper panels down, with numbered panels and taped screw bags, beds into headboard, slats and legs, and glass is separated from dining tables. New villas here often have large bedrooms and separate men’s and women’s majlis rooms, so we agree with you which majlis is set up first. Kitchens start from SAR 370, with water and gas shut off and photos taken from every side. ACs come down after gas recovery, from SAR 110 each, and bedroom units are refitted first. Curtains and TVs can be mounted during the same visit.

Winch work, loading and the coastal highway

Most Baish homes are one or two storeys, so the winch is not needed often, but three-storey walk-ups and large sofas upstairs in villas still call for it, from SAR 185. The coastal highway is fast and carries heavy truck traffic to the industrial city and Jazan, so the load is strapped properly: heavy items low near the cab, panels along the sides, cartons in the middle, light items last, every row strapped. We drive at a steady pace; Jazan is about an hour away.

Dabab, wanet or dyna?

  • Dabab: a fridge, washer or single piece within Baish, from SAR 45.
  • Wanet: a single employee or student, or purchases from the Saturday market or showrooms, from SAR 140.
  • Closed dyna: one room and up, and the right choice for wood and fabric, from SAR 230.
  • Two trips or a larger truck: large villas or moves out of the region.

Example: an employee moving from Al Shati in Jazan to Al Nahdah in Baish

An engineer lives in a three-room, fourth-floor flat in Al Shati, Jazan, with a small lift, and has rented a small villa in Al Nahdah, Baish, after his job moved to the industrial city. He has a large master bedroom, two children’s rooms, a sofa set, a dining table, three split ACs and a wooden kitchen to refit. The crew is a supervisor, a carpenter, four labourers and an AC technician, with a closed dyna and a second run for boxes, and the winch for the sofa and fridge because the lift is too small. Work starts after dawn in Jazan, loading finishes before noon, the coastal drive takes about an hour and assembly in Baish runs until sunset. The base starts from about SAR 1,445 (three rooms from 560, winch from 185, kitchen from 370, ACs from 330) plus the distance difference, confirmed after survey.

Included and extra, preparation and timing

Included: standard bed and wardrobe work, basic packing, cartons, loading, unloading, strapping and placing furniture. Extra on request: kitchen, ACs, winch, VIP packing, curtains and TV, storage and cleaning.

  • Book a week ahead, earlier if your start date is close.
  • Empty and unplug the fridge the day before.
  • Keep gold, cash, documents and medicines in a bag with you; no gas cylinders, fuel or pesticides in the truck.
  • Check power, water and any gate permit if the housing belongs to an employer, and measure doors and lifts.

Summer is hot and humid, so we start at dawn and avoid midday; the sandy late-summer winds mean cartons are sealed and loaded at once. Winter is mild. We avoid the market area on Saturday mornings, month end and pre-holiday weeks are the peak, Ramadan work runs in the morning or after taraweeh, and we do not load in rain.

Cheap offers, storage and common mistakes

If a price is far below the others, ask whether the truck is closed or open to sand and sun on the coastal road, whether a carpenter comes, whether assembly is included and what happens if something breaks; many of these offers grow after loading. To save properly, take less, pack clothes and books yourself and choose mid-month. If your new home is not ready on your start date, we store furniture wrapped in a closed, ventilated space priced by volume and time, and can arrange cleaning of either house. Mistakes we see in Baish: cartons left open in the yard on a windy day, sofas in an open pickup on the highway, forgetting gate access at employer housing, ACs removed without gas recovery and last-minute bookings before a start date.

Baish to Jazan, Sabya, Ad Darb and other cities

Moves from Baish to Jazan or Sabya are one-day jobs, as are runs north to Ad Darb and to Al Shuqaiq, Al Haqu, Haroob and Al Raith, all priced on regional rates plus distance. We also move to Jeddah, Makkah, Riyadh and Abha: Jeddah to Jazan starts from SAR 1,020 for a small load and SAR 1,680 for an apartment, Riyadh from SAR 1,850, and Baish is closer to Jeddah than Jazan is along the coast. The reverse direction is covered too.

Sending urgent items by air

Documents, devices or a few cartons you need before the furniture reaches a distant city can fly as domestic air cargo from King Abdullah Airport in Jazan to the nearest airport in one to two days, charged on actual or volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 6000), whichever is greater. Furniture travels by road.

About 68 km on the coastal highway, roughly an hour by truck, so the move and assembly fit in one day.

If the housing belongs to your employer and has a gate, we prepare crew names and the truck number in advance when the employer asks for them.

Why seal cartons on both ends in Baish?

Usually a wanet with one helper is enough, from SAR 140.

Do you move from Al Futaiha, Al Haqu and Maslia?

Yes, on regional rates plus distance, and we check the valleys after rain.

Do Baish villas need a winch?

Usually not, since most homes are one or two storeys, but large sofas upstairs or walk-ups may need it, from SAR 185.

What about outdoor majlis furniture?

We move it, but ask you to decide in advance what comes, since outdoor seating takes a lot of truck space.

Why avoid Saturday mornings?

Saturday is market day in Baish and the crowds slow down truck parking.

Yes, as one-day runs along the coastal highway.
