Furniture Moving in Sabya | Dismantling, Packing & Closed Trucks to Jazan and the Villages
Sabya sits roughly halfway between Jazan and Ad Darb, so a large share of the moves we do here either leave the town or arrive in it: an employee transferred to Jazan, or a family leaving a village house for a new home in Al Muruj or Al Rehab. For furniture moving in Sabya, Al Saif dismantles, packs and loads your furniture into a closed truck and reassembles it at the new address, whether that is another district of Sabya or Jazan, Abu Arish or Baish. A single room starts from SAR 230, a two-to-three-room apartment from SAR 420 and a villa from SAR 840, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send us photos through the quote request page and we will reply with a price.
🧭 Sabya at a glance before you book
- Distances: about 36 km to Jazan, around 30 km to Abu Arish and the same to Baish.

- From: SAR 230 per room, 140 by wanet, 45 by dabab, 185 for the winch, 110 per AC.
What our Sabya moving service covers
The work starts before moving day. We ask how many rooms you have, which floor, whether there is a lift, and we ask for photos of wardrobes and the kitchen. From those we know whether the job needs one carpenter or two, whether a winch is required and how many trucks will do. On the day, the crew arrives with cartons, bubble wrap, blankets and tools, and the job runs in a fixed order: small items and kitchenware packed first, large furniture dismantled, loading, the drive, then unloading and reassembly. We never leave panels lying on the floor of the new house; assembly is part of the job.

Districts and villages we serve
Sabya is a large governorate with more than a hundred villages, not just a town. In the centre, Al Faisaliyah, Al Rawdah, Al Muhammadiyah and Al Nasiriyah have older houses and tighter streets, so we confirm truck parking in advance. Newer plans such as Al Muruj, Al Rehab, Al Rabie and Al Rawnah have villas, duplexes and new apartment blocks with larger furniture and the occasional winch job. Around the town, the centres of Al Aliyah, Qawz Al Jaafirah and Al Kadmi have single-storey family homes with wide courtyards. We regularly drive the Jazan, Ad Darb, Al Aidabi, Haroob and Al Dayer roads for moves between governorates.
Packing suited to Sabya’s weather

Sabya is humid in summer and mild in winter, and late summer brings north-westerly winds full of dust. Humidity and dust decide how we pack. Sofas are not wrapped straight in plastic and left; they get a fabric blanket first and then a cover. Dismantled wardrobe panels get cardboard corners so chipboard edges do not crack. Plates and glass go into small, heavy cartons instead of one huge box no one can lift. Mattresses go in sealed bags against dust, hanging clothes in wardrobe cartons, screws in small numbered bags taped to their piece, and every carton carries a room name and a number that matches the inventory sheet.
Dismantling and reassembly

A typical Sabya home has a large Arabic majlis, bedrooms with tall wardrobes and an aluminium or wooden kitchen. The carpenter takes wardrobes apart from the upper panels down and numbers the panels on the inside. Beds come apart into headboard, slats and legs. Floor majlis cushions and armrests are folded and tied into bundles. The kitchen gets its own time slot: water off, sink out, oven next, then upper and lower cabinets, with photos taken first so it goes back the same way. If the new kitchen is smaller, we tell you what fits before we start. Kitchen work starts from SAR 370 and ACs from SAR 110 per unit, with the gas recovered.
At the new house we set up bedrooms first, then the ACs, then the kitchen, then the majlis and living room, and tall wardrobes are anchored to the wall where there are small children.
Winch use and loading the truck

Some new buildings in Al Muruj and Al Rehab have small lifts that will not take a three-seater sofa or a double fridge, and some have none at all. That is when the winch comes in, from SAR 185, working from a balcony or window. Ground-floor family homes rarely need it, so you save the cost. In the truck, heavy items go low near the cab, panels stand along the sides, cartons fill the middle and light pieces go last, with each row strapped before the next. The Sabya–Jazan road has plenty of roundabouts and slowdowns, and a loose load will shift.
Which vehicle do you need?
- Dabab: one fridge, washer or single piece within Sabya, from SAR 45.
- Wanet: a student, a single employee or a showroom pickup, from SAR 140.
- Closed dyna: one room and up, and our choice for any wood or fabric furniture, from SAR 230.
- Two trips or a larger truck: villas, big houses and moves out of the region.
Worked example: a village in Al Aliyah to Al Rehab
A family lives in a courtyard house in one of the Al Aliyah villages and has built a ground-floor home in Al Rehab. They have two bedrooms, a large floor majlis, a living-room sofa set, a fridge, washer and freezer, two split ACs and an aluminium kitchen to refit. The crew is a supervisor, a carpenter, three labourers and an AC technician with one closed dyna; the wide courtyard lets the truck park by the door and no winch is needed. Packing starts after dawn, the drive takes under half an hour and assembly is done before mid-afternoon. The cost starts from about SAR 1,010: the house from 420, the kitchen from 370 and the two ACs from 220.
Moving from villages: what changes
Village houses are usually single-storey and roomy, with a courtyard, an outdoor majlis and a store room, and things pile up over the years. We ask customers to sort what they actually want to take two days ahead, because extra volume means a second trip. Some villages have tarmac to the door; in others the road ends a short way before the house, and after rain that stretch can turn to mud a loaded truck cannot cross. Then we shuttle items to the dyna by wanet or by hand, or move the date by a day until the track dries. Locally made heavy wooden beds and old wardrobes that cannot be dismantled travel whole, wrapped in blankets, with more hands rather than a winch.
Sabya to Jazan and beyond
Sabya to Jazan is one of our most frequent runs, about 36 km, so the whole job fits in a day. We deliver to Jazan districts such as Al Rawdah, Al Shati, Al Suways and Al Matar, and the other way round, and also move to Abu Arish, Baish, Ad Darb, Al Aidabi, Haroob, Ahad Al Masarihah and Samtah. For other Saudi cities, Jeddah to Jazan starts from SAR 1,020 for a small load and Riyadh to Jazan from SAR 1,850, with Sabya close to those figures plus the distance difference, and we run the reverse direction too.
Sending urgent items by air
If you travel before your furniture and need documents, a device or a few cartons, we can send them as domestic air cargo from King Abdullah Airport in Jazan, about 39 km from Sabya, to the nearest airport in one to two days, charged on actual or volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 6000). The furniture goes by road.
Preparation, timing and avoiding bad offers
- Book a week ahead, more for the end of the month.
- Empty and open the fridge and freezer the day before.
- Keep documents, gold, cash and medicines with you; gas cylinders, fuel and pesticides stay out of the truck.
- Check power and water at the new house and measure doors for large sofas.
In summer we start very early; winter is the easy season. Month end is busy because leases end, and the days before school holidays bring many teachers and families moving. In Ramadan we work mornings or after taraweeh, and in the rainy season we check the valleys and village roads before heading out. A very low offer from an unknown number usually means an open truck, no carpenter or assembly left to you, so ask what is included, whether the truck is closed and who pays if something breaks.
Storage, cleaning and common mistakes
If your new home is not ready, we store furniture wrapped in a closed, ventilated space priced by volume and time, and we can arrange cleaning of the new or old house on request. Mistakes we see in Sabya: using an open pickup because it is “close” and getting dusty sofas, booking Tuesday morning beside the market, removing ACs without gas recovery, mixing all the screws in one bag and not checking the village road after rain.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a move from Sabya to Jazan take?
It is about 36 km, so dismantling, loading, the drive and reassembly fit into one day for most apartments and houses.
Do you reach the villages of Al Aliyah, Qawz Al Jaafirah and Al Kadmi?
Yes. We ask about the road to the house first; if it is a dirt track or affected by rain, we shuttle by pickup or move the date until it dries.
Why avoid Tuesday mornings near the market?
Tuesday is Sabya's market day and the crowds slow down truck parking and loading, so we pick early morning or after midday.
How much is it to move a courtyard house in Sabya?
From SAR 420 for two rooms and SAR 560 for three; the final price follows a survey because these homes often have extra items in the yard and store room.
Will I need a winch in Al Muruj or Al Rehab buildings?
If the lift is small or missing and the pieces are large, yes, from SAR 185. Ground-floor homes usually do not need one.
Is an open pickup fine for sofas?
We do not recommend it for sofas or wood because of dust and sun. A wanet suits appliances and small runs from SAR 140.
How much is aluminium kitchen removal and refitting?
From SAR 370. We photograph it first and, if the new space differs, tell you what fits before starting.
Do you move old wooden beds that cannot be dismantled?
Yes, wrapped in blankets and carried whole with extra hands.
Do you move to Ad Darb, Al Aidabi and Haroob?
Yes, usually as one-day jobs priced on regional rates plus distance.
What does a move from Sabya to Jeddah or Riyadh cost?
Jeddah to Jazan starts from SAR 1,020 for a small load and Riyadh to Jazan from SAR 1,850; Sabya is close to these with the distance difference.
Do you offer storage in Sabya?
Yes, wrapped furniture in a closed, ventilated space, priced by volume and duration.
