Furniture Movers in Najran | Valley Farmhouses to Modern Districts, Packed and Reassembled

Furniture Movers in Najran | Valley Farmhouses to Modern Districts, Packed and Reassembled

Najran is really two cities in one: modern districts on wide roads, and old mud-brick towns and palm farms strung along the valley. Al Saif handles furniture moving in Najran across both, from Al Faisaliyah, Prince Mishal, Al Fahd and East Airport to Rajla, Aba Al Saud, Al Mukhayyam, Al Sharafah and the University district. We dismantle, pack, load into closed trucks and reassemble at the new home. A room starts from SAR 260, a two- or three-bedroom apartment from SAR 470 and a villa or standalone house from SAR 1,100, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send photos through our quote request page to get your price before the day.

🌴 Moving in the valley city

  • Valley houses and farms: dirt tracks and narrow mud-brick stairs, surveyed before pricing.
  • Heat and dust: early starts and full covering for appliances and fabric.
  • From: room SAR 260, apartment SAR 470, villa SAR 1,100, hoist SAR 185, dabab SAR 75.
  • Pricing: photos via the quote page, or a free survey.

Districts we cover in Najran

The city stretches along its valley, so a move between two districts can take ten minutes or forty. That is why we always ask for both addresses before pricing.

Area Districts Loading notes

A mud house in the valley cannot be priced by its room count alone. It may have four floors on a narrow inner staircase, or an entrance far from the paved road, so we prefer to see it or its photos before giving a final figure.

What decides the cost

Four things move the price. The amount of furniture, measured by large pieces rather than rooms. Access: a fourth floor without a lift, or a farmhouse the truck cannot reach, so items have to be carried. Distance between the two districts: Al Faisaliyah to Prince Mishal is far shorter than East Airport to the far end of the valley. And technical work such as kitchens, ACs and curtains. A mid-month date will not change the price, but it saves you waiting.

Mud houses and farms: a different kind of move

Najran’s old mud houses are beautiful and hard to move out of. Inner staircases are narrow and turn sharply, wooden doors are low and the walls do not take scraping well. We dismantle everything we can inside the room, wrap the edges in blankets so they do not mark the walls, and bring pieces down one at a time with two men on the stairs. If something is larger than the staircase, say a wardrobe that once came in through a window, it goes out the same way, by rope or by hoist if there is room.

On farms the problem is the road, not the house: a dirt track between palms that a large truck cannot enter, or a narrow yard gate. We park the truck at the nearest firm ground and shuttle the furniture to it by pickup or dabab, or carry it if the distance is short. After rain, when the valley runs and the tracks turn to mud, we would rather move the date by a day or two than risk a stuck truck.

Heat and dust

Najran summers are hot and dry, and midday is no time to carry a fridge down stairs. We start at first light, finish most of the loading before noon, and leave the indoor assembly for the cooler, air-conditioned hours. Electronics never wait in the sun for their turn, and candles, medicines and perfumes ride in your own car. Dust gets in everywhere, so mattresses, sofas and clothes are wrapped even for a short trip, and the truck doors stay shut between loads.

Choosing a vehicle

  • Dabab (from SAR 75): a fridge to the family home or a sofa from the market.
  • Wanet (from SAR 140): Najran University students, staff housing and light loads.
  • Closed dyna (from SAR 185 per trip): most apartments and small houses, sheltered from dust and sun.
  • Large closed truck: villas, multi-floor houses and moves out of Najran.

Heavy items go low and toward the front, then mattresses and sofas, then boxes, each row strapped. The roads are mostly flat, but the bumps and bends between farms are enough to tip over anything left loose.

How we pack

Strong cartons for dishes, books and clothes; bubble wrap for glass, screens and ornaments; cloth blankets for wood; and stretch film over all of it. Each plate is wrapped on its own, and fine sets get their own box marked fragile. Rugs are rolled and tied, mattresses go into sealed bags, and every carton carries the name of its room. For families with Najrani heritage pieces, carved wooden doors, old chests or pottery, we suggest the VIP add-on from SAR 140, where each piece gets separate layers and travels alone.

Dismantling and assembly

Beds and wardrobes come apart before loading, with fittings bagged and numbered. At the new house the carpenter starts with the room the family needs first, usually the children’s, then the master bedroom, checking that drawers slide and doors hang straight before moving on. Many kitchens here are aluminium and handle being moved well if their panels are numbered; fitted wooden kitchens need more care and may not suit the new space, so we measure first. ACs are removed and refitted from SAR 115 each, and in summer the bedroom unit goes in first so the family sleeps cool that night.

Hoist and upper floors

Newer blocks in Al Faisaliyah and Al Nahdah usually have lifts, but a small lift will not take a sofa or tall wardrobe. There, and in buildings with no lift, we use the hoist from a balcony or window, from SAR 185. We do not run it in dusty wind, because a hanging load swings.

Included and extra

  • Included: crew, truck and fuel inside Najran, standard bedroom work, basic packing, placing items.
  • On request: hoist, kitchen, ACs, VIP packing, curtains and TV mounting, storage, cleaning.
  • After survey: multi-floor mud houses and farms the truck cannot reach.

Worked example: a Rajla farmhouse to Prince Mishal

A family living in a two-floor house inside a palm farm in Rajla moved to a new villa in Prince Mishal. They had two large bedrooms, a children’s room, a men’s majlis with Arabic sofas, a family lounge, a six-unit aluminium kitchen, two window ACs and one split, two heritage chests and about forty boxes. The track to the house was narrow dirt between palms, so we parked the large truck on the paved road and shuttled the load by pickup in three runs. Six movers, a carpenter and an AC technician started at 6:30 a.m.; loading ended around 11 and assembly before mid-afternoon. The price started from SAR 2,095: house from SAR 1,100, kitchen SAR 370, three ACs SAR 345, VIP packing for the chests SAR 140 and the extra pickup run SAR 140.

Keep these out of the truck

Gold, ceremonial daggers and valuables, cash, title deeds, farm papers and IDs, medicines, gas cylinders, fuel and farm pesticides should all travel in your own car.

Preparation checklist

  • Start boxing a week ahead with things you rarely use.
  • Unplug the fridge a day before and drain the washer.
  • Clear the track to the house and tell us about narrow gates.
  • Send the new location, especially on new plans.
  • Have one AC working in the new house for the first night.
  • Keep children away from the movers’ path.

Seasons and timing

Month-end and the end of the school year are the busy times. In summer we move early mornings only; in winter work can run all day. In Ramadan we work from dawn to midday or after Taraweeh, and after floods we leave a day for the valley tracks to dry.

Beware of the half-price offer

A quote at half the price often turns out to exclude the carpenter, to use an open pickup instead of a closed truck, or to add “stairs” and “distance” at the end of the day. Ask any mover to state in a message what the price includes, the vehicle type, the crew size and who covers breakage. Only then can you compare.

Storage and cleaning

If the new villa is still being finished, we keep your furniture wrapped in a closed, dust-free warehouse and deliver on request, priced by volume and time. Cleaning of the new home before move-in, or the old one before handover, is an optional extra.

Mistakes we often see

  • Pricing over the phone without photos.
  • Forgetting the truck cannot reach a farmhouse door.
  • Leaving electronics in the sun during loading.
  • No working AC in the new house on a summer night.
  • Packing title deeds with the books.

Steps of the job

  1. Send photos and both districts through the quote page.
  2. We survey mud houses and farms, and price apartments from photos.
  3. We send the price and what it covers, and book the date.
  4. The crew arrives early to pack, dismantle and label.
  5. We load and strap.
  6. We unload and place each item.
  7. We assemble and walk through the house with you.

Moving from Najran to other cities

We also move to Najran’s governorates such as Hubuna, Badr Al Janub, Yadamah and Sharurah, and to Abha, Khamis Mushait and Jazan, priced after a survey. For long routes, Riyadh to Najran (about 900 km) starts from SAR 700 for a room and SAR 1,120 for a mid-size apartment, and Jeddah to Najran (about 900 km) from SAR 1,020 for a room and SAR 1,850 for an apartment. We move in the reverse direction too.

Sending urgent items by air

When the furniture goes by road but some boxes or papers are needed sooner, we send them as domestic air cargo from Najran airport to the airport nearest your destination in one to two days, charged on actual or volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 6000), whichever is greater. The furniture stays on the road.

Send photos and both districts through the quote request page, and we will tell you whether your home needs a survey or can be priced from photos.
