Furniture Moving in Tabuk | Dismantling, Packing & Assembly Built for Cold Winters
In Tabuk, furniture moving changes with the seasons more than anywhere else we work: dry, hot summers, cold winters when dawn temperatures can dip close to freezing, and wind that sometimes carries dust. Muasasat Al Saif plans every move in Tabuk around that. We dismantle, pack, load, transport and reassemble, with a carpenter for kitchens, an AC technician and a winch for upper floors. A single room starts from SAR 260, a two- or three-bedroom apartment from SAR 370 and a villa from SAR 1,100, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send photos through our quote request page and we will price it after a free survey.

- Upper floors: winch from SAR 185.
- From: SAR 260 per room, SAR 370 per apartment, SAR 1,100 per villa.
Furniture moving in Tabuk during the cold months
Anyone who has moved house in Tabuk in the depth of winter knows that early mornings are cold enough to stiffen fingers on the straps, and that plastic parts of furniture turn brittle and crack if knocked. So in winter we push the start back a little until the air warms, give plastic and glass pieces a thicker layer, and handle plastic drawers and outdoor chairs gently, because a light bump in the cold can break them.
Tabuk homes also have equipment you rarely see in Jeddah or Jazan: electric and oil-filled heaters, large water heaters, and sometimes wood stoves in annexes and rest houses. A water heater must be drained hours before it is removed, or it becomes heavy and leaks. Oil radiators travel upright. Wood stoves are cleaned of ash before they go near the truck. Some winters bring rain to the city and snow on nearby high ground such as Jabal Al Lawz; on wet days we avoid open loading, use a closed truck and cover the building entrance with a tarp so cartons stay dry between door and vehicle.

What raises the price in Tabuk
Many Tabuk homes are villas and ground-level houses with annexes, which reduces winch work but adds pieces. A traditional house with two majlis rooms, an annex and a courtyard often holds outdoor seating and sometimes a tent or a traditional goat-hair tent, all of which take space in the truck. Buildings without elevators, a kitchen that has to move, the number of AC units and water heaters, the distance between districts, and month-end or pre-school dates all add cost. Ready boxes and empty wardrobes bring it down.
Districts we cover
| Area type | Districts | What we notice |
|---|---|---|
| Villa districts and plans | Al Muruj, Al Rayyan, Al Wurud, Al Salman | Villas with annexes and yards, usually wide streets |
| Apartment districts | North and South Al Faisaliyah, Al Nahdah, Al Akhdar | Mid-rise blocks, frequent winch requests |
| Mixed residential | Al Sulaimaniyah, Al Masif, Al Muntazah, Al Safa | Traditional houses, flats and villas side by side |
| Older districts | Al Aziziyah, Al Rawdah, Al Qadisiyah | Narrower streets, so a mid-size dyna |
We cover the rest of Tabuk and the new plans on its edges, and reach rest houses and farms around the city when the road suits a dyna.

Dismantling and assembly
Wood expands in summer and shrinks in the cold, and you feel it when rebuilding a wardrobe: screws that went in easily in the heat may need adjusting in winter. Our carpenter takes wardrobes apart into numbered panels, bags each piece’s screws and re-aligns the doors after assembly so nothing hangs crooked. Beds come apart into sections and mirrors are wrapped between two boards. Kitchens are removed after water and gas are shut off, wall cabinets first, and refitted to the new wall, from SAR 370. Split AC units are removed by a technician who pumps down the gas first, from SAR 115 per unit, and water heaters can be refitted too if listed in the quote. Gas cylinders for heaters or cooking never travel with the furniture.

Packing against cold and dust
Tabuk wind sometimes comes loaded with dust, and a sofa left in the courtyard for fifteen minutes takes it into the fabric. Sofas and mattresses get full stretch-film wrapping, wood gets cloth blankets, appliances get bubble wrap and board, and in winter plastic and glass get an extra layer. Heavy winter clothes, coats and farwa sheepskin cloaks go into large sealed bags instead of cartons. Rugs are rolled and covered. Mirrors and paintings sit between two boards with corner guards. Every carton is labelled by room, and VIP packing for antiques and fine tableware starts from SAR 140.

Winch lifting and loading
Where there is no elevator, or it will not take the wardrobe or corner sofa, we lower large pieces by winch from the balcony or window, from SAR 185. A photo of the façade tells us where the winch can stand and whether cables or awnings are in the way. On strongly windy days we postpone winch work, because a suspended piece sways, and safety matters more than the clock. In the truck, heavy items go at the front, wardrobes stand upright along the sides, sofas sit on the solid base and boxes go above, each row strapped.
Which vehicle you need
A dabab, from SAR 45, moves one item between districts. A wanet, from SAR 140, suits a student at the University of Tabuk or a newly transferred employee with appliances and boxes. A dyna, from SAR 185 per trip, handles one room to a three-bedroom flat. A closed truck is for villas, dusty or rainy days, and storage.
Transferred employees and new families
Many of our Tabuk jobs are families whose breadwinner has been transferred to or from the city. Often the employee arrives alone first and the family follows weeks later, so we split the move: a wanet with essentials on arrival, then the full house once the family home is rented. If the furniture is coming from a distant city, we can receive it from the incoming truck and assemble it, or store it until the house is ready. If you are renting in Tabuk for the first time, ask the landlord about heating and water heaters before signing; some flats come without them, and you will want them fitted before winter.
Example: Al Faisaliyah to Al Muruj in winter
A family in a third-floor, three-bedroom flat with no elevator in South Al Faisaliyah moved to a small villa in Al Muruj. They had a master bedroom with a large wardrobe, two children’s rooms, a majlis, a kitchen that stayed behind because the villa had one, two split AC units, two water heaters and two oil radiators. The wardrobe and sofa came down by winch, the rest by the stairs. A supervisor, four movers, a carpenter and an AC technician started at 9 am once the air had warmed and finished around 4 pm. The flat rate starts from SAR 370, the winch from 185 and the two AC units from 230, so the job started from SAR 785, with the water heaters as agreed in the quote.
Before moving day
- Drain water heaters a few hours ahead and close their valves.
- Unplug and dry the fridge the night before.
- Bag heavy winter clothing in large sacks.
- Check power, water and heating at the new home before your first night there.
- Photograph the façade, stairs and elevator.
- Watch the forecast; if rain or strong wind is due, we will talk about the timing.
Gold, cash, IDs, documents and medicines stay with you. Kerosene, heater fuel and anything flammable is left behind or moved separately.
Seasons and timing
In summer we work from dawn to midday. In winter we start a little later and finish before sunset, because days are short and the cold bites after dark. Spring and autumn are kindest to crews and furniture. Month-end, the pre-school weeks and Ramadan, when we work mornings or after Taraweeh, are busy, as are the periods when many employees relocate between cities.
Low quotes, storage and cleaning
If a phone quote seems very low, ask whether it covers dismantling and assembly, how many movers are coming, whether the truck is closed on dusty days, who handles the water heaters and AC, and whether the price can change on the day. A move that starts cheap and drags into a freezing night, or ends with a broken wardrobe, costs more than a clear quote. We also store furniture wrapped in a closed warehouse, and offer optional after-move cleaning priced by area.
Moving between Tabuk and other cities
We run closed trucks to and from Tabuk. Between Riyadh and Tabuk (about 1,300 km), a room or small load starts from SAR 1,500, two to three rooms from SAR 1,680, four to five rooms from SAR 2,600 and a villa from SAR 6,950. Between Jeddah and Tabuk a small load starts from SAR 1,400 and an apartment from SAR 2,300. We also serve Tayma, Duba, Haql and Al Wajh, and the NEOM area with nearby towns such as Sharma, Gayal and Duba; access to some sites requires a prior permit from the receiver’s employer. Request your quote with photos and both addresses.
