Furniture Movers in Madinah | Dismantling, Packing, Winch Lifting & Reassembly

Muasasat Al Saif handles furniture moving in Madinah from the first screw to the last: we dismantle beds, wardrobes and kitchens, wrap every piece, bring it down by the stairs or by a lift winch, drive it in a dyna or a closed truck, and put it back together in your new home. We work across Quba, Al Awali, Shuran, Al Aziziyah, Sultanah, the eastern and western Harrah, Al Uyun, Sayed Al Shuhada, Al Jurf and the rest of the city. Moving a single room starts from SAR 160, a two- or three-bedroom apartment from SAR 350, and a villa from SAR 1,100, rising with volume, floor and distance. Send photos of your furniture through our quote request page and we will come back with a price after a free survey.

What our furniture movers in Madinah actually do on moving day

People tend to picture a move as lifting and driving. In practice, most of the hours go into what happens before the first piece goes on the truck and after the last one comes off. Our supervisor arrives ahead of the crew, walks through every room, counts the large items and decides what gets taken apart, what travels whole and what needs special wrapping, such as mirrors, glass table surfaces and televisions.

The crew starts with the bedrooms because they take longest, then the majlis, then the kitchen, and the boxes go last. At the new home the order flips: big pieces go into their rooms before corridors fill up with cartons, the carpenter rebuilds beds and wardrobes, and the kitchen is refitted if it was part of the job. We do not leave until you have walked through each room with us.

Furniture moving prices in Madinah by home size

These are our starting figures inside the city. They include standard dismantling, wrapping, loading, transport, unloading and reassembly of the main pieces. The final number depends on what we see, because a three-bedroom flat on the ground floor is a very different job from the same flat on the fifth floor with no elevator.

Two- to three-bedroom apartment SAR 350 Dyna with three or four movers
Four bedrooms or more Set after survey Falls between the apartment and villa rates

What pushes the price up or down

We do not price by room count alone. A children’s room with two small beds and a two-door wardrobe is nothing like a master bedroom with a six-door wardrobe and a dresser with a large mirror. Before quoting, we look at the number of bulky pieces, the floor and the elevator size, whether a kitchen or AC units are included, how far apart the two districts are, whether the truck can reach the door, and the date. The last days of the month and the weeks before school starts are always busy, so booking early helps.

Districts we cover across the city

Area Districts Typical housing
South, around Quba Quba, Al Awali, Al Usbah, Shuran, Al Duwaimah Villas, duplexes, mid-rise blocks
North, towards Uhud Sayed Al Shuhada, Al Uyun, Shazat, Al Jurf, Al Khalidiyah Spacious residential areas, newer villas
West Sultanah, Al Qiblatain, western Harrah, Al Anabis Apartment blocks along main roads
East Eastern Harrah, Al Nasr, the airport side Family apartments and newer housing
Centre, near the Haram Central area, Bab Al Shami, Al Manakhah, Al Sih Older buildings, crowded streets

Homes close to the Prophet’s Mosque need extra planning. Streets are busy with visitors, parking outside the building is hard, and large trucks may face restrictions at peak times and during the big seasons. There we send a mid-size dyna, start early in the morning and have everything wrapped at the door before the vehicle arrives.

Dismantling and reassembling bedrooms, wardrobes and kitchens

Most damage happens during dismantling, not on the road: a lost screw, a hinge snapped in a hurry, a wardrobe panel carried bare. Our carpenter bags the hardware of each piece in a clear pouch taped to it and labels doors and shelves so everything goes back where it came from. Large wardrobes travel as flat panels standing upright. Kitchens come apart wall cabinets first, after water and gas are shut off, and are refitted to the new wall; if the measurements differ, you hear about it before we start. Our AC technician pumps the gas back into the outdoor unit before removal, protects the copper pipes and tests cooling after the refit. Curtains and wall-mounted TVs can be put back up too, if you ask in advance.

Packing materials and how we use them

Madinah is dry most of the year and dust gets into a house faster than a truck does, so packing has to guard against scratches, pressure and dust together. Polished wood gets thick moving blankets. Sofas and mattresses get stretch film. Screens and glassware get bubble wrap. Books go into small cartons so they stay liftable, clothes into large ones, and glass tables get corner guards. Each carton is labelled with the room it belongs to. For antiques and fine china, the VIP packing add-on starts from SAR 140.

Winch lifting for upper floors

Plenty of Madinah buildings have a small elevator that will not take a wardrobe or a long sofa, or no elevator at all. Stairs are fine for low floors and medium items; a large fridge, a corner sofa or a wardrobe that cannot be dismantled is safer coming down by winch through a balcony or window. Before the day we need to know whether there is room for the winch outside, whether cables or awnings block the façade, and whether the opening is wide enough. One photo of the building from the street usually answers all three.

Choosing the right vehicle

A dabab suits a single appliance or a sofa. A wanet suits a few boxes and devices, typical for bachelors or students at the Islamic University and Taibah University. A dyna covers anything from one room to a three-bedroom flat. A closed truck is what we use for villas and large apartments, keeping furniture out of the sun and dust. Pick the wrong one and you pay twice: either for space you do not use, or for a second trip.

What is included and what is extra

The base price covers standard bed and wardrobe dismantling and reassembly, blanket and film wrapping, carrying by stairs or elevator, transport inside Madinah and placing big pieces in their rooms. Kitchen work, VIP packing, the winch, AC units, curtains and TV mounting, storage and cleaning are priced separately and listed before moving day.

A worked example: Al Aziziyah to Shuran

A family in a third-floor, three-bedroom apartment in Al Aziziyah with a narrow elevator is moving to a duplex in Shuran. They have a master bedroom with a six-door wardrobe, a children’s room with two beds, a sofa set, an aluminium kitchen and two split AC units. From the photos we decided the wardrobe and sofa would come down by winch. The crew was a supervisor, four movers, a carpenter and an AC technician with one large closed dyna, working from 7 am to about 3 pm, two hours of which went on the kitchen. The apartment rate starts from SAR 350, the winch from SAR 325, the kitchen from SAR 370 and the two AC units from SAR 280, so the full job starts from SAR 1,325. Had the new home come with a fitted kitchen, the total would have dropped straight away.

Before moving day

  • Empty wardrobes into bags or cartons the day before.
  • Unplug and dry the fridge the night before.
  • Shut the gas valve and drain the washing machine hoses.
  • Photograph the cables behind the TV and router.
  • Reserve space outside both buildings and tell the watchman.
  • Check power and water in the new home, and that every door opens.

Keep gold, cash, passports, contracts, daily medicines and computers in your own car. Gas cylinders never ride with the furniture, and flammable cleaning products should be left out.

Seasons and timing

Ramadan evenings and the big visiting seasons make central streets slow. Month-end and pre-school weeks are the busiest for movers. Summer afternoons are hard on crews and on leather, candles and electronics left in the sun, so in summer we start very early. Winter is mild and easier to book.

Avoiding the low-quote trap

A quote far below the rest often grows on the day: extra for the winch, extra for dismantling, extra for the fourth floor, or two men turn up instead of four. Ask whether dismantling, packing and assembly are included, how many movers are coming, whether the truck is closed, what happens if something is damaged, and whether the price is final after the survey.

Storage, cleaning and moving to other cities

If your new place is not ready, we wrap for longer storage, keep the furniture in a closed warehouse and deliver when you are ready. After-move cleaning of the old or new home is an optional extra priced by area. For moves out of Madinah to Yanbu, Jeddah, Makkah, Riyadh or Tabuk we run closed trucks with long-distance packing: Riyadh to Madinah starts from SAR 560 for a room or small load, and Jeddah to Madinah from SAR 930. Request your quote with both cities and we will plan the whole trip.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to move a three-bedroom flat within Madinah?

From SAR 350 including standard dismantling, wrapping, transport and reassembly, rising with the number of pieces, the floor and whether a winch is needed.

Can you move from buildings near the Haram?

Yes. We send a mid-size dyna early in the morning and have everything wrapped at the door before it arrives, as parking in the central area is difficult.

When is a winch better than the stairs?

When a wardrobe, corner sofa or large fridge will not fit the elevator or stairwell. Winch lifting starts from SAR 325.

Is kitchen dismantling included in the moving price?

No. It is priced separately from SAR 370 and refitted to the new wall after measurements are checked.

What does split AC removal and refit cost?

From SAR 140 per unit, including pumping the gas down before removal and testing cooling after the refit.

I only need a fridge moved. What should I book?

A dabab for a single item, from SAR 95, or a wanet if a few boxes go with it.

Do you help university students move?

Yes. Most student moves need just a wanet or dabab for one trip with a bed, a desk, a small fridge and some boxes.

How do I get a price before moving day?

Send photos, both addresses and the floor numbers through the quote page and we will price every item after a free survey.

Can you store my furniture if the new home is not ready?

Yes. We wrap it for storage, keep it in a closed warehouse and deliver and reassemble it when you are ready.

What will you not carry in the truck?

Gold, cash, official papers and medicines stay with you; gas cylinders and flammable products do not travel with the furniture.

What time of day is wise for a summer move in Madinah?

Early morning. Midday heat wears out the crew and harms leather and electronics left in the sun.

Do you move from Madinah to Yanbu, Jeddah or Riyadh?

Yes, in closed trucks. Riyadh to Madinah starts from SAR 560 for a small load and Jeddah to Madinah from SAR 930.
