Madinah Furniture Moving Prices | Cost Tables, Real Examples & Packing Guide
Looking for Madinah furniture moving prices? At Muasasat Al Saif our starting rates are SAR 160 for one room, SAR 350 for a two- or three-bedroom apartment and SAR 1,100 for a villa. That covers dismantling, standard wrapping, loading, transport and reassembly, and the price rises with volume, floor, distance and add-ons such as a winch, a kitchen or AC units. This guide gives you the full tables, a simple way to estimate your own move, real cost examples and a room-by-room packing guide. For a firm figure, send photos through our quote request page; the survey is free.
🧮 Work it out before you ask
- Start with: your home size rate (SAR 160, 350 or 1,100).
- Add: winch 325, kitchen 370, each AC unit 140, VIP packing 140.
- Just one item? Dabab from SAR 95, or a wanet or dyna from SAR 140 per trip.
- Result: a rough figure to compare quotes against; the survey gives the final one.
Madinah furniture movers: prices by home size
Each size is tied to the crew and vehicle it really needs, because that is what drives the cost. These are starting prices inside the city.
| Home | Typical contents | Crew and vehicle | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Room or studio | Bed, small wardrobe, fridge, washer, boxes | Two movers, wanet or small dyna | SAR 160 |
| Two- or three-bedroom flat | Master bedroom, kids’ room, majlis, kitchen appliances | Three to four movers, dyna | SAR 350 |
| Four bedrooms or more | Extra rooms, two sitting areas, more appliances | Four to five movers, large dyna or two trips | Set after survey |
| Villa or full floor | Several rooms, majlis, annex, outdoor furniture | Full crew with carpenter, closed truck | SAR 1,100 |
We do not fix a number for flats above three bedrooms. Four lightly furnished rooms and four packed rooms are very different jobs, and the fair way is to price after seeing them.
Individual services and when you need them
| Service | Unit | From | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dyna | Trip | SAR 140 | You have helpers or just need the vehicle |
| Wanet pickup | Trip | SAR 140 | Appliances, boxes, small loads |
| Dabab | Item | SAR 95 | A fridge, washer or sofa on its own |
| Winch | Job | SAR 325 | High floor, pieces too big for the stairs |
| Carpenter | Room | SAR 140 | Bedroom or wardrobe dismantling and assembly |
| Kitchen | Whole kitchen | SAR 370 | Moving a wood or aluminium kitchen |
| AC unit | Unit | SAR 140 | Split or window unit you want to take |
| VIP packing | Add-on | SAR 140 | Antiques, glass, fine tableware |
Estimating your own move
Write three lines on a piece of paper. Line one is your home size rate. Line two is the extras you already know about: are you taking the kitchen, how many AC units, is the building without an elevator or is the elevator small? Line three is what you do not know yet, such as how close the truck can get, which the survey settles. Add lines one and two and you have a working figure to hold any quote against. If an offer comes in far below it, ask which item was left out.
Cost examples
A student in the western Harrah
A single bed, a desk, a small fridge and six boxes of books and clothes, moving a short distance near the Islamic University. The bed comes apart with one key, so no carpenter is needed. One wanet with a helper, from SAR 140.
A single professional in Sultanah
A full bedroom with a three-door wardrobe, a TV, a washer and a fridge, from a second floor to a ground-floor flat in Al Difa. One room, from SAR 160, with no winch and no kitchen.
A family from Al Iskan to Quba
A two-bedroom flat on the fourth floor, an elevator that fits the pieces once dismantled, and three split AC units to move. Apartment from SAR 350 plus three AC units from SAR 420: the job starts from SAR 770.
A villa from Al Uyun to a new northern plan
Five bedrooms, two majlis rooms, a wooden kitchen to move, four AC units and glassware that needs special packing. Villa from SAR 1,100, kitchen from 370, AC units from 560 and VIP packing from 140: the move starts from SAR 2,170 and takes a full day with two carpenters.
Two appliances only
A second-hand fridge and washer bought at the used market, going to your home in Shuran: two dababs from SAR 95 each, or one wanet from SAR 140 if both are at the same pickup point, which works out cheaper overall.
What raises the price and what lowers it
- Floor: a high floor with no or a narrow elevator costs more; ground floor or a wide elevator costs less.
- Bulky pieces: six-door wardrobes, corner sofas and double-door fridges take time and space.
- Preparation: clothes still in wardrobes slow everything down; ready boxes speed it up.
- Distance: one end of the city to the other takes longer than neighbouring districts.
- Access: a narrow street or distant parking means longer carrying.
- Date: month-end, pre-school weeks and the big seasons are busier.
Prices and access by area of the city
Rates barely change between districts, but the area changes how long the job takes. The centre (Al Manakhah, Bab Al Shami, Al Sih) is crowded and hard to park in, so we work early with a mid-size dyna. The south (Quba, Al Awali, Shuran, Al Usbah) has villas and duplexes with easy truck access. The north (Sayed Al Shuhada, Al Uyun, Shazat, Al Jurf) has newer plans and longer drives to the south. The west (Sultanah, Al Difa, Al Qiblatain) has many apartment blocks where winch requests are common. The east (eastern Harrah, Al Nasr, Al Iskan) is mostly family flats with mid-size elevators.

Packing guide: materials and what they protect
Packing decides whether your furniture arrives the way it left. In Madinah add one more enemy: fine dust that settles into wood joints and sofa fabric after an hour uncovered on the street.
| Material | Used for | Protects against |
|---|---|---|
| Thick moving blankets | Wardrobes, wooden tables, dressers | Scratches and knocks |
| Stretch film | Sofas, mattresses, upholstered chairs | Dust and dirt |
| Bubble wrap | Screens, glass, tableware, ornaments | Breakage and vibration |
| Sized cartons | Books, kitchenware, clothes, shoes | Crushing and loss |
| Flat board | Mirrors, frames, paintings | Cracking from flexing |
| Corner guards | Glass table edges, frames | Chipped edges |
| Clear hardware bags | Screws and fittings | Lost parts |
Room by room
- Kitchen: plates wrapped one by one and packed standing on edge, in small cartons so they stay liftable.
- Bedrooms: mattresses in full plastic covers, mirrors between two flat boards, drawers emptied or taped shut.
- Majlis: sofas in stretch film plus a blanket on the arms and corners; rugs rolled, never folded.
- Electronics: screens in their original box if you kept it, otherwise bubble wrap and board on both faces.
- Books: small cartons only.
A three-bedroom flat typically needs somewhere between twenty and forty cartons depending on how many small belongings you have; we bring them with us. Standard packing is included. VIP packing, from SAR 140, adds a second layer and corner guards on every piece, individual bubble wrap for each glass item, custom wrapping for artwork, and unpacking into cupboards at the new home. If you pack small items yourself to save time, do not overfill big cartons with heavy things, leave no empty space in boxes of dishes, and write the room name on the side of the box, not the lid.

Dismantling and assembly
Not everything needs taking apart. Large wardrobes, big beds and heavy-based tables are dismantled; bedside tables, chairs and side tables travel whole once wrapped. Kitchens are a separate job, from SAR 370, because the new wall has to be measured and cabinets sometimes adjusted. AC units are handled by a technician who pumps the gas down first and tests cooling after the refit.

The winch: when it saves money
From SAR 325, a winch can look like an extra, yet it often saves. If a wardrobe has to be fully dismantled just to fit down the stairs, the winch lowers it in one piece in minutes with less risk. On a second floor with a wide stairwell and easy-to-dismantle furniture, you do not need one. A photo of the façade and one of the stairs are enough for us to decide.
What is and is not included
Included: bed and wardrobe dismantling and assembly, standard wrapping, carrying by stairs or elevator, transport inside Madinah and placing pieces in their rooms. On request only: kitchen, AC units, winch, VIP packing, curtains and TV mounting, storage and cleaning. Gold, cash, documents and medicines stay with you, and gas cylinders never travel with the furniture.
When booking gets harder
Base rates do not change, but availability tightens at month-end, before school starts, during the big visiting and Hajj seasons and on Ramadan nights. In summer we start at dawn. If your date is flexible, mid-month in winter is easiest.
Warning signs in a low quote
- A price given over the phone with no photos or survey.
- No mention of how many movers or whether a carpenter comes.
- “Winch and dismantling extra” with no figure attached.
- An open truck for a villa on a hot, dusty day.
Storage, cleaning and other cities
If the new home is late, we store your furniture wrapped in a closed warehouse, priced by volume and time. After-move cleaning is optional and priced by area. Between Madinah and Riyadh (about 850 km) a room or small load starts from SAR 560, two to three rooms from 1,120, four to five rooms from 1,700 and a villa from 1,850. Between Madinah and Jeddah (about 420 km) the same sizes start from SAR 930, 1,400, 2,500 and 3,700. We also serve Yanbu, Tabuk, Makkah and Taif. Request your quote with photos and both addresses.

Frequently asked questions
How can I estimate my moving cost before getting a quote?
Take your home size rate (SAR 160, 350 or 1,100) and add what you need: winch from 325, kitchen from 370, each AC unit from 140 and VIP packing from 140.
Why is there no fixed price for a four-bedroom flat?
Four lightly furnished rooms and four full ones are very different jobs, so we price after seeing photos or doing a free survey.
What does it cost to move just a fridge and a washer?
A dabab per item from SAR 95, or one wanet from SAR 140 if both are at the same pickup point.
Are cartons and packing materials charged separately?
No. Standard blankets, stretch film and cartons are included; VIP packing for antiques and glass is an add-on from SAR 140.
What is the difference between standard and VIP packing?
Standard protects furniture with blankets and film; VIP adds a second layer, corner guards, individual wrapping of glass and unpacking into cupboards.
How many cartons does a three-bedroom flat need?
Usually between twenty and forty, depending on small belongings. We bring them with us.
Do prices change between districts?
Base rates are much the same, but a crowded centre, a narrow street or a long north-to-south drive adds time.
When is a winch cheaper than using the stairs?
When a wardrobe would need full dismantling just to fit the stairwell. The winch lowers it whole, faster and with less risk, from SAR 325.
Can I pack small items myself to save money?
Yes. Prepare small cartons and leave big furniture to us; label the side of each box with the room name and leave no gaps in boxes of dishes.
Can the price change on moving day?
Not for anything agreed in the quote. It only changes if you add a new item that was not in it.
How much is a move from Madinah to Riyadh?
From SAR 560 for a room or small load, SAR 1,120 for two to three rooms and SAR 1,850 for a villa.
How much is a move between Madinah and Jeddah?
From SAR 930 for a small load, SAR 1,400 for two to three rooms and SAR 3,700 for a villa.
