Furniture Moving from Jeddah to Jubail | Industrial City, Old Jubail & Company Housing with Assembly
When a customer tells us they are moving to Jubail, our first question is: Industrial City or the old town? Jubail Industrial City is a planned city with spacious districts such as Al Fanateer, Al Deffi, Al Huwailat and Jalmudah, plus company housing and camps with gates. Old Jubail (Jubail Al Balad) is an older town with districts such as Al Farouq, Al Safat, Al Quds and Al Hamra, with very different streets and buildings. At Muasasat Al Saif we handle furniture moving from Jeddah to Jubail completely: dismantling and packing in Jeddah, a closed truck covering about 1,440 to 1,490 km via Riyadh and Dammam, then unloading and reassembly in either Jubail. A room starts from SAR 1,400, a two- to three-bedroom flat from SAR 2,300 and a villa from SAR 6,500. Send your details through the quote request page.

Furniture moving from Jeddah to Jubail: distance, time and price
Jubail is the furthest of the main Eastern Province cities from Jeddah on this road: once the truck reaches Dammam, it still has about 95 km to go north. Total driving is 16 to 17 hours, split over two days by the overnight rest, so delivery is usually on the morning of day three, occasionally the evening of day two if loading starts very early and the load is small. Prices start from SAR 1,400 for a room or small load, SAR 2,300 for two to three bedrooms, SAR 3,500 for four to five and SAR 6,500 for a villa, rising with volume, floor and the type of housing in Jubail.

| Example districts | Al Fanateer, Al Deffi, Al Huwailat, Jalmudah, Al Lulu, Taibah | Al Farouq, Al Safat, Al Quds, Al Shati, Al Hamra, Ghirnatah, Al Dabab |

| Usual delivery | Truck to the door | Truck or transfer dyna depending on the street |
The residential districts of Industrial City are open to everyone, and delivery is easy on wide streets. But many people relocating to Jubail live in housing run by an employer or contractor, which has a gate and a security office requiring prior permission. Ask your employer for a truck and crew entry pass days in advance; we send you the crew names, ID numbers, truck plate and type as soon as you book. Check the permitted entry hours and vehicle size, since some camps only admit small vehicles. Some sites also require workers to wear high-visibility vests or be escorted by a management representative, so tell us beforehand.

The road: Jeddah to Riyadh, Dammam, then Jubail

The truck leaves Jeddah towards Makkah, uses the bypass onto the Riyadh expressway, and passes As Sayl Al Kabir, Al Muwayh, Dhalim, Al Quway’iyah and Al Muzahmiyah. After Riyadh comes the Riyadh–Dammam expressway across the Dahna sands and near Abqaiq, then the coastal highway north from Dammam, passing near Qatif and the Ras Tanura junctions before Jubail. The overnight rest is usually on the edge of Riyadh. Checkpoints at city approaches are routine; the driver carries the truck papers, a contents list and the receiver’s name.

Packing and load securing for the longest Eastern route

Nearly 1,500 km of vibration, central heat and coastal humidity on arrival: that is what we pack for. Dismantled bedroom panels get bubble wrap and blankets, mirrors travel between two boards, and mattresses go into sealed bags against moisture and dust. The fridge is emptied, dried and carried upright, the washer drum is locked and oven doors are taped. Many people moving to Jubail are engineers and technicians with tools and personal equipment; those go into strong separate boxes and never stacked over furniture. Dishes are wrapped one by one, and children’s and sports bikes have wheels and handlebars removed and are wrapped in blankets. In the truck, the heaviest items sit on the floor at the front, panels stand with dividers, heavy boxes go at the bottom, and every row is strapped before the next.
Loading and truck type

We use closed trucks for all household furniture, protecting against sun, dust, Dahna sand and coastal humidity; open trucks only for steel and sturdy equipment. A full truck suits families, mid-size flats and villas, leaving straight away with an arrival time you can tie to your pass. A shared load works well on the Jubail route, because many people moving there are single or new employees with a room or a few pieces. It costs less, but departure waits until the truck is full, so do not choose it if your housing pass is for one specific day.
Dismantling in Jeddah, reassembly in Jubail
Every room has a number, every panel a label, screws go in numbered bags with their pieces, and large wardrobes are photographed as they come apart, so the Eastern Province crew works quickly. Company housing in Jubail sometimes comes furnished or with a kitchen and ACs, so ask before moving yours. Villas and flats in Al Fanateer, Al Deffi or Old Jubail may need a kitchen; dismantling and refit start from SAR 370.
Pickup districts in Jeddah
We collect from all of Jeddah: the north (Obhur Al Shamaliyah, Al Shati, Al Muhammadiyah, Al Naeem, Al Zahra), the centre (Al Rawdah, Al Khalidiyah, Al Salamah, Al Safa, Al Marwah, Al Faisaliyah), the east (Al Samer, Al Ajwad, Al Harazat, Al Hamdaniyah) and the south and old quarters (Al Aziziyah, Al Sharafiyah, Al Baghdadiyah, Al Amir Fawaz). In narrow streets a dyna shuttles furniture from the door to the truck.
Weather on the road and in Jubail
Central summers can pass 40°C, so we leave in the evening where possible and keep anything that melts or burns out of the load. Dahna sand can blow across the road and reduce visibility. On the coastal road between Dammam and Jubail, some winter mornings bring fog, and the driver slows down or waits. Jubail is humid in summer with dusty days, so wrappings stay on until each piece is indoors.
Sending urgent items by air
If your first working day in Jubail comes before the truck, you may need work clothes, appointment papers and personal safety gear. We send a few boxes as domestic air cargo from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam in one to two days; from there Jubail is a short drive. It is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater: length × width × height in cm ÷ 6000. A 70 × 45 × 30 cm box of work clothes has a volumetric weight of 15.75 kg, so if it actually weighs 10 kg you pay for 15.75. Splitting it into two smaller, full boxes usually helps. The furniture stays on the truck.
Insurance and storage
Insurance is available on request for the value you choose to cover, and valuable items are photographed before loading. If your housing has not been handed over yet, which happens with company housing and Industrial City villas, we store the load wrapped in a closed, air-conditioned warehouse in the Eastern Province until it is ready, priced by volume and duration. Gold, cash, official documents, daily medicines and gas cylinders never go on the truck.
Worked examples: Al Safa to Al Fanateer, and a single technician
A family duplex in Al Fanateer. An engineer transferred to Jubail Industrial City lived in a fourth-floor, four-bedroom flat with a lift in Al Safa; the new home was a duplex in Al Fanateer. Load: three bedrooms, a majlis and living room, dining table, desk, fridge and freezer, washer and dryer, a wooden kitchen, five ACs, about 55 boxes and two bikes. The duplex already had split ACs and a fitted kitchen, so the kitchen stayed in Jeddah, three ACs were sold, and only two came for the children’s rooms. Six workers and a carpenter in Jeddah; five workers, a carpenter and an AC technician in Jubail. Loading finished at 4 pm, the truck arrived on the night of day two, and delivery and assembly took place on the morning of day three, his day off. Price from SAR 3,500 for four to five bedrooms, plus two AC installations from SAR 115 each.
A single technician to company housing. A bed, small wardrobe, small fridge, TV and ten boxes went on a shared truck, from SAR 1,400 for a room. The load waited a day for the truck to fill; his housing pass was flexible, so the wait caused no problem.
Checklist and common mistakes
- Specify Industrial City or Old Jubail, and the district.
- For company housing, request the pass with the details we send.
- Find out what the housing already has: kitchen, ACs, furniture.
- Unplug the fridge and freezer 24 hours ahead.
- Pack a bag for your first working days, or send it by air.
- Book a week ahead, two at month-end and holidays.
Common mistakes: writing only “Jubail” so the truck goes to the old town when you live in Industrial City or the other way round, arriving at a camp without a pass, moving a kitchen and ACs into equipped housing, choosing a shared load with a one-day pass, and booking delivery on a shift day with nobody home.
How it works, and moving back
Send photos, both addresses and your housing type; we confirm load, truck, crew and price, send pass details if needed, dismantle, pack and load in Jeddah, drive via Riyadh and Dammam, and unload and reassemble in Jubail. When your project or contract ends, we move from Jubail Industrial City, Old Jubail, Dammam and Khobar back to Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah the same way. For any other route from Jeddah, use the request a quote page.
